靜力劇場繼2002年《光、呼吸、身體》、2003年《越光１又1/２》、2004年《光道》、2005《光流冥體》後，又一次大膽的另類創作。這一系列「燈光肢體創作」，由燈光設計洪國城與編舞者陳怡靜共同策劃，結合各方藝術好手之心力而成，多年來倍受表演藝術界的喜愛與肯定。此次創作群的卡司，邀請到另類舞蹈家張莉敏、音樂製作鬼才陳奕仲、影像藝術家方琦、空間設計魔法師李榮山、跨域肢體演員劉懋瑩、黃保霖共同合作。
『燈光肢體劇場』，開創了國內獨特的演出形式--由光的角度出發，引發一連串與肢體、劇場的互動關係，打破以往燈光為陪襯或營造氣氛的角色，真正從光的靈魂、力量、路徑、限制、語言重新詮釋。。
Stephene Halesu：「光既能探入發育中的葉表而無礙，豈不也可能貢獻其榮耀於植物全體？」，深入『光合作用』的精神層面，將可探究光能、創造力與生命體之間，循環不息的巧妙關係。
值得一提的是，演出分為『光反應』和『暗反應』兩個部分，現場由視障演員劉懋瑩帶領觀眾入場，身心障礙演員黃保霖另類肢體作畫，試圖將盲與見、常與異、亮與黑交融為一整體的觀念。華山表演空間中則以大量的發光體懸吊，讓觀眾可以親自操作開關，調動空間中的光源。這樣巧心的安排，在在顯示出 (主動演出者)與(被動觀眾)之間的界限跨越。整齣跨領域、跨觀念的創作，在『光』的貫串下，必帶給觀眾前衛另類的震撼、與深層精神的感官饗宴。

The Production of Light and Limbs
Fusion of Theater Space, Unconventional Device Art, Magical A-V Special Effect
New Theatrical Perspective Created by Cross-sector Limbic Art
Static Theatre will make its debut of “Photosynthesis” from October 20 to October 22, 2006 at Huashan Culture Park Maintenance Workshop. This is again a bold and unconventional new production after “Light, Breath, Body” in 2002; “Cross Light 11/2” in 2003, “The Tao of Light” in 2004 and “The Flowing Light from Darkness” in 2005. The Production of Light and Limbs series is co-engineered by lighting designer Alia Hong and choreographer Yi-ching Chen together with the mental and physical efforts contributed by many other artistic specialists and has received extraordinary fondness and affirmation from the performing arts sector. The cast of this production includes Unconventional Dancer POPO Chang, Musical Producer Guru Yi-Chung, Image Artist Chi Fang, Set designer Rong-Shan Lin, Cross-sector Physical Artists Ma-in Liu and Bao-Ling Huang.
‘The Production of Light and Limbs’ opened up a unique way of performance in starting from the light as the viewing angle to ignite the mutual interaction with the limbs or the theater. This breakthrough evolved truly from the soul, the path, the limit and the language of the light instead of letting light serve merely as a contrast or to stage the atmosphere. This production originated upon the various thoughts about the light. “…And may not light also, by freely entering the expended surfaces of leaves and flowers, contribute much to ennobling principles of vegetables.” (Stephen Hales, 1671-1761). When one penetrates into the spiritual facet of “photosynthesis”, one can explore the inspirational ever-cycling relationship between the energy of light, the creativity and the body of life.
In the world of a theatrical black box, the view of the audiences will naturally be attracted to the light --- where there is light, there is expectation. In the production of “Photosynthesis”, this phototropism of the audiences, in addition with the ingenious light source design and the irregular spatial placement is used to lead the audiences in touring around the five different spaces of the Maintenance Workshop in Huashan. This bold dynamic route design, as if one yet another magical journey of light, will promote the understanding of the cycling relationship of light, space and body energy to the audiences. Under the same principal, the dancers, showered under different luminescence, would generate different actions and reactions in their mind and body as would the cell organisms that wriggles, collide, split, drift and bond under the sunlight.
One thing that is important of mentioning: The performance contains both the “light reaction” and the “dark reaction” sections. Visually impaired artist Ma-in Lu would guide the entrance of the audiences into the field while Bao-ling Huang, a performer with disability, would perform unconventional limbic painting, delivering the notion of blending the sightless and sighted, normal and abnormal, light and dark as a whole. Also, in the performing spaces in Huashan, one can maneuver the large amount of suspended lighting bodies in person to adjust the light sources of each space. This ingenious design once again crossed over the border between the active performers and the passive audiences. This one-of-a-kind cross-sector and yet cross-notion creation, strung together by the “Light” would definitely not only give the audiences a progressive and unconventional vibration but also a sensational feast for one’s deeper spirits.
