滿以為JS的作品是 Indie Music﹐沒想到是頗令人容易接受的歌曲﹐而且挺有流行原素﹐不過更沒想到他們會來了一張 Somewhere﹐那是一張舞曲 Remix EP。

接觸JS音樂時間很短﹐談不上瞭解﹐只是從幾張近年的專輯﹐一窺其音樂風格。從其唱片封套﹐他們會令我想起日本的 Do As Infinity﹐然而看到兩人又作又唱﹐卻也頗有 Carpenters 的味道﹐想不到一首 Somewhere 卻又突然令我聯想起﹐他們也挺像當年 Everything But The Girl 突然來了一首 Missing (Todd Teery Club Mix)﹐頗令人吃驚﹐卻又廣為人所接受。

不錯﹐JS Somehere 是一首英語跳舞歌﹐據說陳忠義10年聽到 BT 的ESCM專輯中那首Flaming June﹐就被它的華麗夢幻震懾住了。筆者不多聽BT﹐數年前被吸引著的卻是一首Rock 味甚重的 Shame﹐後來買過幾張單曲及專輯﹐卻原來在一張Rare & Remixed 專輯中發現了這首1997年的歌曲。雖然如此﹐聆聽Somewhere的時候﹐倒讓我想起Robert Miles那種 Chill-Out來了。其實EP片中的 Somewhere 是多變的﹐除了我們慣聽陳綺萱的聲音﹐有一個Sophia Version之外﹐陳忠義也唱了一個 Justin Version﹐他的轉音挺有點男聲王菲味﹐而且還有一個男女聲混合的加長版﹐及原有Demo。另外兩首舊作“殺破狼”及“Heaven”也來了一個舞曲大翻身﹐極具玩味﹔不過最有趣還是聽到靜下來的 Somewhere Demo。
