對 Doris Day 的電影 Pillow Talk﹐無可否認﹐因為童年情意結﹐一定會偏愛的﹐不過擁有兩張DVD﹐卻是迫不得已。

Doris Day 雖然在40-60年代經紅透半邊天﹐可是經歷數碼年代﹐似乎很少見到她的精選CD﹐至於LD也很少﹐更莫說之後的DVD了﹐直到90年代才由當時一間美國Collectables 唱片向Columbia購買錄音版權﹐把她的專輯大量CD化﹐之後於1999年Universal 也為她發行電影DVD﹐當中包括了“Pillow Talk”。至於還有沒有其他電影﹐我就不知道了﹐只是我很確定﹐就算有﹐也不會多﹐不像近年﹐她有多個DVD Boxset 面世。Pillow Talk 發行於1999年﹐相信我是稍遲才發現的﹐也是從美國訂購回來﹐可是2004年Universal 發行了一套 Rock Hudson & Doris Day Romance DVD Boxset﹐當中包括了 Pillow Talk (1959)﹑Lover Come Back (1962) 及 Send Me No Flowers (1964)﹐但價錢很便宜﹐若單買後面的兩片﹐也省不了多少﹐於是那還能不買嗎﹖縱使如此﹐生活在寸金尺土的香港﹐要擺放重覆的東西﹐那很討厭啊。

不過除了兩套自己沒擁有過的電影﹐這Boxset 還有一個特別之處﹐就是附送了一張收錄8首歌曲的“The Doris Day Romance Music Collection CD”。

說起來這張CD是比較奇怪的﹐雖然全數是Doris Day 的歌曲﹐就算大部份都是電影歌曲﹐卻不全屬於 Boxset 中的三套電影的。單是 Pillow Talk 的插曲﹐就只有一首而已﹐其他多首插曲欠奉﹐換來的是 Secret Love﹑The Man Who Knew Too Much 等電影的插曲﹐面且這些電影跟Rock Hudson 更是無關。不過 Send Me No Flowers 這歌因為屬於較後期﹐又不是甚麼 Hit Single﹐所以較難找的﹐還有驚喜發現有 High Hopes﹐這首本來是Frank Sinatra 主演的電影插曲﹐在80年代筆者購買的一張日本版Doris Day 精選唱片﹐就有這首有趣的歌曲﹐可是之後就從未發現在CD中了﹐相隔多年重溫﹐確實令人開懷。


Secret Love﹕電影Calamity Jane的歌曲﹐收錄於“Secret Love”(1953/Columbia) 單曲中﹐近代有George Michael 的版本﹐收錄於“Songs From The Last Century”(1999/Virgin) 專輯中。
