因為1975年 Beatles 跟EMI 約滿﹐唱片公司可以自由出版 Beatles 歌曲﹐於是Capitol火速為他們在美國推出了5張精選﹐而且為了宣傳這些LP﹐也為他們推出了多張單曲﹐至於英國方面﹐EMI 把他們過往22張單曲全線推出﹐並且首次發行 Yesterday﹐於是一下子英國 Top 100之內﹐就有23張Beatles 單曲了。

Yesterday 雖然在美國早於1965年9月13日推出﹐ 但是在1976年3月8日於英國還是首次作為單曲而已﹐不過 B Side 卻由Act Naturally 換上了 I Should Have Known Better﹐它曾在美國成為 A Hard Day’s Night 的 B Side。Yesterday 在英國取得流行榜第8位。

1976年6月7日﹐美國 Capitol 因為發行了多張Beatles精選﹐為了宣傳其中一張“Rock 'n' Roll Music”(1976/Capitol)﹐於是也在5月31日推出了“Got To Get You Into My Life”單曲。

Got To Get You Into My Life 取自“Revolver”(1966/Parlophone) 專輯﹐由 Paul McCartney 創作﹐他意圖寫一首 Soul Music。它首次由Cliff Bennett And The Rebel Rousers 翻唱﹐並由 Paul McCartney 監制﹐該張單曲 (1966/Parlophone) 取得英國流行榜第6位﹐而 Beatles 版本於1976年發行時﹐在美國取得 Billboard 第7位。

Got To Get You Into My Life 另有一個著名的 Cover Version 屬 Eath Wind & Fire﹐由於1978年在一套名為Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 的電影中﹐除了Bee Gees 大唱 Beatles 名曲之外﹐他們也翻唱了此曲﹐是一首上榜的 Cover Version。

Got To Get You Into My Life﹕原收錄於“Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band”(1978/RSO) OST 中﹐但單曲由Earth Wind & Fire 所屬的Columbia發行﹐得到美國Billboard 第9位﹐英國方面得到流行榜第33位﹐其後收錄於“The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1”(1978/Columbia) 精選中。

Got To Get You Into My Life 的 B Side 是 Helter Skelter﹐它取自“The Beatles (White Album)”(1967/Parlophone) 專輯。這首算是 Heavy Metal 的始祖﹐當年是非常嘈吵的歌曲。Paul 因為看了音樂雜誌﹐知道 The Who 樂隊出版全新單曲“I Can See for Miles”(1967/Track)﹐而且他們的結他手及此曲的創作人Pete Townshend形容它為史上最嘈吵的歌曲﹐於是引發 Paul 也來寫了一首Helter Skelter。在首天錄音時﹐因為演變成為 Jam Session﹐於是3個Take都竟然長達 10’40”﹑12’35” 及 27’11”﹐後來他們在一個多月後再重錄了18遍﹐並且錄成一個較短的版本。
