經過一張單曲 Yesterday 之後﹐1965年末英美兩地又為Beatles再發行一張兩地共有的單曲﹐不過這是一張 Double A Side 的單曲﹐包括了 We Can Work It Out 及 Day Tripper。

We Can Work It Out 主要由 Paul McCartney 創作﹐那時Paul 住在女友Jane Asher 家﹐然而因為 Jane接受了一份新工作﹐也因此而要搬離倫敦﹐故此他寫下這歌並語重深長請他 Think Of What I’m Saying。We Can Work It Out 在英國於1965年12月3日出版﹐美國方面則遲了3天。英國方面兩曲得到5星期冠軍﹐至於We Can Work It Out在美國Billboard 則得到3星期冠軍。這曲結尾部份非常特別﹐節奏突變以Waltz 來完結。

We Can Work It Out 的 B Side 是Day Tripper﹐由 John Lennon 主力創作﹐聽說這時 Beatles 已經染指LSD﹐故此帶來 DayTripper這樣的歌曲﹐事實上這首歌跟Beatles 以前的單曲﹐在風格上有明顯改變。它在英國成冠5星期﹐至於在美國 Billboard 則得到第5位。
