1965年﹐The Beatles 在美國發行了單曲 Eight Days A Week﹐這首取自英國“Beatles For Sale”(1964/Parlophone) 專輯的歌曲﹐在英國沒有以單曲出版﹐在美國卻受到Capitol 的垂青。

Eight Days A Week 由 Paul 與 John 合寫於 John 在 Weybridge 的家﹐一般都是 Paul 自己駕車前往﹐但是當天卻由司機開車﹐在路程中兩人開始閒聊﹐ 當Paul 作出問候時﹐司機開始抱怨工作太辛苦了﹐每星期八天工作。Paul 覺得這形容很有趣﹐於是當他見到 John 時﹐立刻覆述司機那一句“Eight Days A Week”﹐而 John 很幽默地回應“Right - Oooh I Need Your Love, Babe…”

Eight Days A Week 本來在英國打算發行為單曲的﹐但是後來取消了﹐美國方面因為有DJ從英國運來 Beatles For Sale 專輯﹐並在電台播放此曲﹐於是 Capitol 就順勢發行了單曲。它在美國於1965年2月15日發行﹐12天後取得Billboard 冠軍兩星期﹐然而 Beatles 並不太重視此曲﹐更重未現場演唱過。

Eight Days A Week﹕它原收錄於英國的“Beatles For Sale”(1964/Parlophone) 專輯中﹐後來在美國則收錄於“Beatles VI”(1965/Capitol) 專輯中。
