早在1963年 ﹐Beatles 的唱片在美國登陸並不成功﹐雖然他們所屬的Parlophone 是EMI 的一個Label﹐而EMI 在美國因為有 Capitol 而擁有巨大發行網﹐可是 Capitol 對這四名“阿飛”沒半點兒興趣﹐拒絕發行他們的唱片。

故此早期的Beatles 的歌曲﹐在美國都落在 Vee-Jay 及 Swan 身上﹐但是發行量不多﹐也引不起美國樂迷的注意力。可是待一切重新部署﹐Capitol 單在紐約市就花掉5萬元去宣傳 The Beatles Are Coming﹐加上 Ed Sullivan Show 亮相﹐在Washington Coliseum與Carnegie Hall 的演唱會﹐配合著 I Want To Hold Your Hand 單曲7星期Billboard冠軍﹐一下子令美國的年輕人都瘋了起來。早期散落在 Swan﹑Vee-Jay 及屬 Vee-Jay 的Tollie 的 Beatles 歌曲﹐現在都重新發行﹐而且變得洛陽紙貴﹐而擁有 Tony Sheridan & The Beat Brothers 歌曲版權的 MGM 與 Atco 都來分一這塊餅﹐非常熱鬧﹐可是 Capitol 要把這塊肥肉完全收歸國有﹐還需要大打官司﹐尤其陷於經濟困難的 Vee-Jay 更是順勢積極出版各類 Beatles 單曲﹑EP﹑LP 甚至合輯﹐於是最後根據官司的判決﹐Vee-Jay 還可以繼續出版這些早期Beatles作品﹐不過直到1964年10月15日為止﹐這個猶如“五胡亂華”的混亂情況才告一段落。

於是Capitol 也成為了唯一能在美國出版Beatles歌曲的唱片公司﹐並於11月23日出版Beatles全新單曲 I Feel Fine﹐這比Beatles的英國老家還要早4天。

I Feel Fine 屬 Beatles 在英國的第8張單曲﹐由 John Lennon 所作﹐並且取得5星期冠軍﹐John Lennon 在開始開始時現了 Feedback﹐這在現場演奏並不為奇﹐但是把這 Feedback 效果放在唱片錄音中﹐這是創先河﹐也引發其後在經典專輯 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 中大玩剪接與音效。至於在美國﹐I Feel Fine 得到3星期 Billboard 冠軍。

I Feel Fine﹕它沒有收錄在Beatles 的英國專輯中﹐不過在美國卻收錄在“Beatles '65”(1965/Capitol) 專輯中。
