1964年1月25日﹐ Beatles 的 I Want To Hold Your Hand 才出版了一個月﹐不單初次打入就登上了Billboard 100名之內﹐而且還得到了冠軍。

於是多首散落在其他唱片公司的單曲都重新發行﹐這包括了 Swan 的 She Loves You﹑MGM 的 My Bonnie﹑Vee-Jay 的 Please Please Me 等﹐加上 Beatles 於2月7日首次踏足美利堅﹐於是 Capitol 火速從加拿中進口了兩張單曲﹐分別是 All My Loving 及 Roll Over Beethoven。

All My Loving 於2月8日出版﹐那是 Beatles 登陸美國的翌日﹐而且2月9 日他們亮相 Ed Sullivan Show 時﹐這也是他們表演5首歌曲的開場曲。All My Loving 在英國沒有緣單曲發行﹐此曲由 Paul McCartney 創作﹐寫於 Beatles 與 Roy Orbison 的巡迴演唱中。至於這單曲的 B Side 取用了 I Want To Hold Your Hand 的英國版背面歌曲 This Boy﹐而 All My Loving 在 Billboard 最高位置為第45位。

1964年2月9 日﹐Beatles 亮相 Ed Sullivan Show﹐吸引到728位現場觀眾﹐又換來了7400萬 (即半數美國人民) 收看﹐可是翌日新聞界的評語不太好﹐酸溜溜的評話更預計他們的歌曲沒法橫跨大西洋。而2月11日﹐The Beatles 在 Washington Coliseum舉行了首場美國演唱會﹐吸引了8000人前來欣賞﹐12日在Carnegie Hall 的兩場35分鐘演唱會﹐近6000個座位也座無虛席。於是在15日﹐Capitol 從加拿中進口了另一張單曲 Roll Over Beethoven﹐與背面的 Please Mister Postman都是取自 “With The Beatles”(1963/Parlophone) 專輯﹐也是首次以不是 Beatles 創作的歌曲作單曲發行。

Roll Over Beethoven﹕原是 Chuck Berry 的單曲 (1956/Chess)﹐也是 Beatles 早期表演時常演唱的歌曲﹐這首歌曲由 George Harrison 擔任主音。這張單曲登上 Billboard 第68位。
