隨著單曲Please Please Me 的成功﹐Parlophone 火速於3個月內為The Beatles 推出首張專輯 Please Please Me﹐而順勢也為他們推出全新單曲 From Me To You﹐這也是他們首張冠軍單曲。

From Me To You 是 John Lennon 寫於一次赴演唱的旅程中﹐在1963年3月5日灌錄﹐4月11即告推出﹐並且登上英國流行榜冠軍達7星期﹐儘管 The Beatles 氣勢如虹﹐可是這張單曲在美國方面由 Vee-Jay 推出﹐卻無人問津﹐後來於1964年改為重發 Please Please Me單曲的 B Side﹐而這張新版 Please Please Me 即得到 Billboard 第3位。在一次同台演出後﹐Del Shannon 聽到此曲即向 John Lennon 表示會翻錄﹐並在美國推出﹐或許這會幫 The Beatles 一把﹐可惜兩個版本在美國都沒有成為大熱﹐不過 Del 的版本 (1963/Big Top) 總算首次把 Lennon / McCartney 的作品打入 Billboard﹐他的單曲得到 第77位。

From Me To You 的 B Side 是Thank You Girl﹐兩首歌曲均沒有收錄在Beatles 的英國專輯中﹐在美國除了是首次發行單曲 From Me To You 的 B Side 之外﹐其後 Vee-Jay再度把它作為 Do You Want To Know A Secret 的 B Side﹐並且打上 Billboard 第35位。
