“Super Trouper”(1980/Polydor) 專輯在不同地區都有發行不同的單曲﹐然而屬世界性發行的實在不多﹐另一支較成功的﹐屬專輯同名單曲“Super Trouper”﹐這也是他們在英國第9首冠軍歌﹐同時也是他們在當地最後一首 No. 1。Super Troupper 倒有幾分 Beatles 的Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967/Apple) 專輯封面的影兒。

Super Trouper 雖然是輕快歌曲﹐但是跟他們在70年代末節拍強勁的 Disco 歌曲比較﹐感覺絕不一樣。歌詞中的Sup-p-per Troup-p-per非常有趣﹐ABBA除了合音出色外﹐似乎以人聲扮作機器人聲也屬出色﹐自Take A Chance On Me (1977/Polar/Polydor) 的 tck-a-ch後﹐他們對此也樂此不疲。Super Trouper在美國 Billboard取得第45位﹐而英國方面成冠達3星期。至於歐洲方面的成績﹐在荷蘭也是 No.1﹔比利時﹑愛爾蘭及德國更分別是4星期﹑3星期及5星期的冠軍歌曲﹔挪威﹑奧地利﹑瑞士﹑法國及芬蘭都成為Top 5歌曲﹔至於澳洲則是第77位。

距離千禧不遠﹐瑞典年輕組合A*Teens出版了一張向 ABBA致敬的專輯“The ABBA Generation”(1999/Stockholm)﹐ 翻唱了11首 ABBA大熱金曲﹐頗受歡迎﹐當中包括了Super Trouper﹐儘管他們這張專輯世界性銷量超過400萬張﹐筆者覺得他們的版本頗像先童版 ABBA。A*Teens 的Super Trouper在瑞典得到第2 ﹐英國則得到第21。

ABBA 的歌曲不單成功﹐而且也代表著70年代的一股音樂潮流﹐雖然他們音樂風格多變﹐然而仍難掩他們受民謠的影響﹐歌曲不時帶出清新純樸的一面。收錄於Super Trouper單曲 B Side的 The Piper便是一個很好的例子。這張單曲有一個很有趣之處﹐Super Trouper乃是“Super Trouper”Sessions 最後期灌錄的歌曲﹐剛巧 The Piper 卻是最早期的。
