1979年底﹐雖然ABBA已推出了全新單曲Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)﹐並且發行了第2張精選“ABBA Greatest Hits Vol.2”(1979/Polydor) ﹐然而唱片公司還是為他們在Voulez-Vous專輯中抽取了 I Have A Dream作為該張專輯的最後一張單曲。

I Have A Dream跟以往 ABBA的歌曲有一個很大的分別﹐它不單有4位成員的聲音﹐也加入了兒童合唱團的合唱﹐這是以往不曾出現的情況﹐於是 I Have A Dream帶來的是世界和平的感覺。此曲在英國取得第2位﹐在奧地利﹑比利時﹑荷蘭﹑瑞士均成冠﹐至於愛爾蘭及德國則分別得到第2及第4。

跟 ABBA的版本相隔剛好20年﹐由英國 Boys Band“Westlife” 翻唱﹐終於把此曲打上英國流行榜冠軍位置﹐而且穩坐4星期。
