1977年底﹐ABBA發行他們第5張專輯﹐也以自家的名字命名﹐那是“ABBA - The Album” ﹐首張發行的單曲乃是 The Name Of The Game。

The Name Of The Game跟以往 ABBA的歌曲不同﹐以往他們刻意形造個人風格的ABBA Sound﹐可是這曲則較早期的單曲靜態﹐似乎跟他們以往的舞曲或熱鬧的曲風有很大差異。它在英國流行榜得到冠軍﹔在美國 Billboard則得到第12位﹐而在愛爾蘭﹑比利時﹑荷蘭﹑瑞典﹑挪威均取後 Top 3名次﹔至於澳洲及新西蘭分別取得第6及第4 ﹔德國則得到第7。
