Boney M 的唱片在德國由 Hansa出版﹐在英美則分別由 Sire 及 Atlantic 發行﹐然而筆者最初以為是 Polydor 出版的﹐因為他們的唱片在黑膠年代於香港都是由寶麗金代理﹐並以 Polydor 廠牌出版。

筆者最早聽他們的唱片﹐乃是一張由 Polydor 出版的 Boney M 精選﹐比 Ocean Of Fantasy 要早﹐可是後來翻查有關該樂隊的 Discography﹐似乎這一張精選失蹤了似的﹐一點資料都沒有﹐估計那只是為香港市場而出版的﹐至於 Boney M 的 Official Greatest Hits 則屬一張名為 The Magic Of Boney M 20 Golden Hits 的精選﹐比 Ocean Of Fantasy稍遲才出版。

這張收錄了20首精選歌曲的唱片﹐雖然他們當時只出版了4張專輯﹐然而已儲了許多單曲﹐加上部份還是Double A-Side Single﹐一些單曲並未收錄於LP中﹐還收錄了新曲兩首﹐故這張精選輯確是超值之作。筆者購買這張 Greatest Hits於80年代中期﹐那時Boney M的人氣已下滑﹐然而有一天突然很想念他們的歌曲﹐於是就買了這張香港版黑膠﹐而且還是特價呢。

Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord﹕這首耶誕歌曲﹐原由 Harry Belafonte (1956/RCA) 所唱﹐1978年耶誕 Boney M翻唱並混合了 Oh My Lord而成﹐登上德國/英國流行榜冠軍﹐然而在美國 Billboard只取得第 85位。當時並沒有收錄於“Nightflight to Venus”(1978/Hansa) 專輯中﹐除了1980年Magic Of Boney 精選外﹐直到1981年才收錄於“Christmas Album”(1981/Hansa) 耶誕專輯中。

Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday﹕此張單曲出版於 1979年﹐在 Ocean Of Fantasy (1980/Hansa) 專輯之前﹐得到德國流行榜第4位及英國流行榜第3位﹐然而卻令人驚訝沒有收錄於“Ocean Of Fantasy”專輯中﹐該 LP只收錄了這單曲的 B Side歌曲Ribbons Of Blue ﹐而且還是一首只得兩分鐘的 Edited Version。
