仿似是昨天的事﹐英國 Nolans Sisters參加東京音樂節﹐憑著演唱一首 Disco歌 Sexy Music而得獎﹐翌日電台即得到聽眾們熱烈點播﹐可是唱片公司還沒有準備﹐於是電台只有播放該比賽現場錄音﹐然而這已是1980年的事了。

其後唱片公司很快便推出了她們的個人專輯“Nolans”(1980/CBS Sony)﹐ 不過更令人興奮﹐就是他們很快便收錄了這首 Sexy Music在他們的熱賣 CBS/Sony Super Stars Super Hits Vol.2 (1980/CBS Sony) 雜錦唱片中。

The Nolans 來自愛爾蘭的天主教家庭﹐父母 Tommy 及 Maureen 都是歌星。有時她們會稱為 Nolans Sisters﹐成員有 Anne﹑Denise﹑Maureen﹑Linda﹑Bernadette 及Coleen﹐都是親姊妹。但不同階段都會有成員離開產子或單飛或重新加入﹐不過大部份時間都會是4人﹐偶然也曾是 Duo組合。她們大紅的歌曲不多﹐Sexy Music在香港及日本都很受歡迎﹐然而在老家卻沒有打上流行榜。1979-1984年間﹐她們簽約 Epic﹐也是她們事業發展最好的時期﹐當中最成功的單曲是“I’m In The Mood For Dancing”(1979/Epic)﹐得到英國流行榜第3位。

自1980年她們參加東京音樂節後﹐日本 CBS/Sony為她們專程在日本出版了幾張專輯﹐大愛歡迎﹐然而在香港自 Sexy Music之後卻無以為繼﹐受歡迎程度也告下滑﹐不過單曲 Chemistry也出現過 CBS/Sony的雜錦唱片中﹐但不算受歡迎。


Chemistry﹕原收錄於“Portrait”(1982/Epic) 專輯中﹐作為單曲﹐它曾得到英國流行榜第15位。

經歷到CD年代﹐許多曾經熱門的歌曲都因為時間而被人遺忘﹐幸好香港 Columbia 於90年代曾把 CBS/Sony Super Stars Super Hits 第2及第3輯以CD作少量發行﹐於是 Sexy Music 也告以數碼化面世﹐然而對音色很挑的筆者﹐卻渴望找到英國版。千辛萬苦才找到一張由英國出版的 I’m In The Mood For Dancing 精選﹐結果卻是令人失望。
