Madonna這位樂壇奇女子﹐在1983年出道時﹐還只是一個愛跳舞的街頭少女﹐也曾被批只會是 One Hit Wonder ﹐但沒想到往後她的成就卻是如斯輝煌。她敢愛敢言﹐甚至付諸於行動﹐她不諱言把性掛在咀邊﹐當她早期的裸照暴光後﹐後來就乾脆全裸拍電影給你看﹐甚至她的性史﹐也常成為人家茶餘飯後的話題﹐她的大膽行勁﹐有許多人蚩之以鼻﹐但是有人卻極之欣賞。

1995年 Maverick為 Madonna出版 Something To Remember Ballad精選﹐據說除了推廣她的非舞曲外﹐她也因為要積極洗底從良﹐好把壞形象改變過來﹐爭取演出電影 Evita 的貝隆夫人 (1919-1952) 角色﹐不讓人非議﹐另一方面她要努力磨練演技﹐只因過去她演出的電影﹐毀比譽多﹐除此之外她也重新學唱﹐務求能勝任演繹電影中的 Musical插曲。

1996年 Evita電影終於完成拍攝﹐公映時非常受歡迎﹐並且由華納推出雙CD原聲帶及單張原聲帶精選﹐除此之外也發了3張單曲﹐包括 You Must Love Me﹑Don’t Cry For Me Argentina及Another Suitcase In Another Hall。

Evita乃是 Andrew Lloyd Webber的創作﹐填詞方面由 Tim Rice操刀﹐故事根據阿根庭第一夫人貝隆夫人的事跡寫成﹐唱片於1976年首次發表﹐主題曲由Julie Covington 首唱﹐不過 1978年當音樂劇上演時﹐則改由 Elaine Paige 上任。其實這首歌非常難唱﹐慣於演繹舞曲的 Madonna 實在不能令到筆者對她增加信心﹐加上她一向演技平平﹐對於 Andrew Llyod Webber 這次把舊劇翻炒拍成電影﹐實在不感興趣﹐而且主題曲是一首需要靜靜聆聽欣賞的歌曲﹐自己實在沒有這種耐性去細聽 Julie Covington以外的演繹。

當電影及Soundtrack出版時﹐筆者只挑選那 Andrew Lloyd Webber特意為電影創作的新歌 You Must Love Me而已。若細心留意這首歌曲﹐Madonna實在很用心演繹﹐也很令人感動。此曲得到贏得1996年 Academy Award及 1997年Golden Globe 的最佳原創歌曲﹐而 Madonna也獲得 Golden Globe的最佳女演員獎項﹐可說吐氣揚眉。
