經過 Crazy For You 的成功﹐來自 Madonna 1986年新專輯的首張單曲為非舞曲 Live To Tell。

這首歌曲給筆者的印象很深﹐因為 Madonna 與演員 Sean Penn 閃電結婚﹐曾來亞洲拍電影Shanghai Surprise﹐忘記了有否來香港﹐不過當時就曾在上海取景﹐引來傳媒的追訪﹐造成哄動。這套電影由 Beatles 成員之一 George Harrision 監製﹐然而觀眾看過之後﹐就如香港譯名“上海驚奇”一樣﹐就是既吃驚又覺得奇怪﹐爛片一套﹐而筆者就一直以為 Live To Tell 就是這套電影的主題曲﹐可是近日翻查資料時﹐才發現它是 Sean Penn 主演另外一套電影 At Close Range 的主題曲才對。

Live To Tell 在美國成冠﹐英國則得到第2﹐筆者認識 Madonna 的慢歌不多﹐記憶中只有此曲﹑Crazy For You 及 Shoo-Bee-Doo﹐然而喜愛程度雖然不及 Shoo-Bee-Doo﹐卻遠勝 Crazy For You。
