鑽石時期的精選合輯唱片

鑽石早期簽的除了Fabulous Echoes是樂團外﹐大多是歌星或藝人﹐包括江玲﹑潘迪華﹑顧媚﹑麥韻﹑鄧寄塵及呂紅等。但是自1964年狂人樂隊 (Beatles) 訪港後﹐唱片公為了適應潮流的變化﹐於是也簽下許多樂團。

這種趨勢一方面因為獨立歌星的錄音製作費昂貴﹐既需要編曲﹑又需要 Musician彈 Sessions ﹐另一方面樂團的銷售對象是年輕人﹐錄音大多是樂團自己一手包辦﹐省下許多時間及金錢﹐而且樂團眾多﹐百花齊放﹐比歌星出版專輯要快。可是他們的壽命往往很短﹐除了非常受歡迎的幾隊﹐也有足夠歌曲出版專輯外﹐出版的大多是單曲﹐因此唱片公司也就輯錄了精選的單曲作為合輯發售。筆者從鑽石名曲選CD所贈的 Catalog中便發現了鑽石共出版了7張合輯﹐分別是 Go Go﹑Hit Maker﹑Diamond Greatest Hits﹑Diamond Showcase﹑兩張貼名的Top Hits及 Super Hits ‘70。筆者沒有擁有齊7張合輯﹐所以只能根據有限的資料簡介其中4張。

Dear Muzikland,

除了江玲之外，其他Diamond歌手都有唱聖誕歌。我手頭上有這張Merry Christmas EP的合輯。歌曲未有收錄過在他們自己的唱片中。封面有點兒時聖誕咭的那一種設計。有親筆簽名啦!

哈囉，您好！
我也非常喜歡六零年代的香港西洋熱門樂團，看您提到GoGo合輯年份不詳，而我正好有留存一張(台灣版？)，看來是1966.10。

順便請教，A面第四首：My Baby Don’t Care 有出數位化的CD嗎？又原唱是何樂團？曾經買過一張"the GANTS"合唱團的專輯，其中收錄有這首歌，但其主奏吉它的彈奏法，實在及不上Danny Diaz & The Checkmates的況味。哈哈，經常有許多歌被翻唱者唱紅後，聽原唱反而會覺得怪怪的。這幾張合輯要是都數位化的話，那真的是棒呆了。

另，沒看您提到同期的「羅文四步」，應該是沒出過唱片，記得當年還看過他們來台的現場表演，遺憾的是羅文先生已作古了。

謝謝你的資料﹐關於My Baby Don’t Care一曲﹐並沒有出版過CD﹐我對此曲不太熟悉﹐但是翻查資料﹐那首歌是Sid Herring 所寫的﹐也就是你所提出的 Gants 樂團的主唱及吉他手﹐所以應該是他們原唱的吧。

想不到這張香港唱片也有台灣版﹐事實上我家也有數張華聲的唱片﹐不過卻是粵曲﹐我有點不太明白﹐當年台灣的唱片公司翻版這些唱片﹐在們那那邊會有何市場呢﹐這確令我感到非常好奇。

至於Roman & The Four Steps 在 EMI 出版過一張單曲 Reflection Of Charlie Borwn / And I Just Can't Wait﹐而我自己有的資料便是 Day Dream / Cathy Come Home﹐ 但是那間唱片公司出版﹐我就沒頭緒了。根據90年代香港Top 雜誌稱 他們成員包括 Roman Tam (主唱)﹑George Fung (結他)﹑Anthony Lee (風琴)﹑Ronald Tsang(貝斯) 及Thomas Lee (鼓)。我對他們並不太熟識。

一張EP的合輯，我最初以為是Teddy Robin或者Joe Jr自己的碟! Diamond比較少出EP的合輯。

By chance I have received info on muzikland. It's so nice to know so many people enjoy 60s Hong King pop music like myself. I'm from Canada, and I don't have the program to chat in Chinese. Hope you don't mind. There is absolutely no second hand outlet to obtain any of these old vinyl record for sale here. The limited collection I have already change to digital format for easy listening/replay. I wonder if anybody has information on which I can obtain the new or used old vinyl recordings of Teddy Robin & Playboys, Fabulous Echoes, Anders Nelsson's Kontinentals, Mystics, Lotus, Joe Jr & Zoundcrackers/Side Effects as such. I would be very appreciated. Keep rocking!

It really doesn't matter either you write in English or in Chinese. Just come often and share. Those Diamond records are so rare now, even sometimes we find it in ebay, it's so~~~~expensive. I just hope UMG will alert the market's needs and can reissure those recording.
