1995年EMI 除了介紹德國樂團 Fool’s Garden 到東南亞地區外﹐也有另一隊丹麥樂團 Michael Learns To Rock﹐當時一首 That’s Why You Go Away 風行香港﹐也是某套電視連續劇的配樂﹐此後出現於無數情歌精選合輯中。

Michael Learns To Rock 簡稱 MLTR﹐由主音及琴鍵手 Jascha Richter﹑鼓手Kåre Wanscher﹑結他手Mikkel Lentz和貝斯手Søren Madsen組成於1988年。1991年出版首張專輯Michael Learns To Rock頗受到歐洲市場歡迎﹐其後的Colours (1993) 更打開了東南亞市場﹐1995年終憑一首That’s Why You Go Away進佔成功。此曲來自Played On Pepper (1995/EMI) 專輯﹐屬於一首 Rock Ballad﹐調子與歌詞都簡單﹐卻又深情的主流作品﹐風格頗80年代。此專輯於泰國﹑馬來西亞﹑台灣﹑新加坡﹑印度﹑菲律賓﹑南韓皆取得數白金或白金銷量﹐全球出售過120萬張。當時筆者買的是一張丹麥版的單曲﹐慶幸又一次逃離香港版的機會。
