80年代因為喜愛 Special Version 或 Remix﹐故筆者很喜愛 12” Single﹐但是此種情意結也帶到CD數碼年代去﹐有時因為 CD Single 收錄多個版本﹐有時也因為對該樂手/樂團不認識﹐為了省錢的原故﹐於是便只選購單曲﹐1999年便買了Sixpence None The Richer的 Kiss Me。

Sixpence None The Richer 來自美國的Texas﹐大約在90年初﹐由主音 Leigh Nash﹑結他手 Matt Slocum 及貝斯手 T.J. Behling 組成。1993年他們灌錄了一堆 Demo 帶﹐並為R.E.X. 唱片賞識﹐很快便出版了第一張專輯﹐其後陣容改變﹐最後由 Leigh﹑Matt 加上鼓手 Date Baker﹑貝斯手 Justin Cary 及 Rhythm 結他手 Sean Kelly 於 1999年轉投 Squint/Elektra灌錄了 Kiss Me。

Kiss Me 除了被選為電視劇 Dawson’s Creek 第三季的配樂外﹐也是電影 She’s All That的插曲﹐歌曲打進 Billboard流行榜亞軍及英國流行榜第4位。因著Kiss Me的溫馨浪漫﹐它更被英國皇室選為Prince Edward婚禮中播唱的歌曲﹐觀眾達到2億。可惜樂團的歌曲並無後繼之力﹐成員除了再一次改動外﹐最終更於2004年拆夥。
