1st Day (14th September 2008, Sunday):

Arrival of all delegates. Pickup from the airport will be arranged for all the delegates. Check-in at Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai. Overnight in the Goregaon Sports Club. It will be the last day of Ganeshotsav.


2nd Day (15th September 2008, Monday):

Breakfast at Hotel. Get-together & introduction. Departure for SPICE MARKET at Lalbaug (Spices has been part of Indian life from time immemorial till today & will remain so. In order to understand spices in Indian life visit to Traditional market like Lalbaug can be unique. Lalbaug is central part of Mumbai which was mainly surrounded by Textile mills. Basic unit operations are a) Dry roasting b) Grinding c) Mixing with special ingredient. All this will be explained in details during the visit) & then visit to office. Visit to Masjid Bunder, which is another Spice Market in South Bombay. Sight seeing Boat-ride at Gateway Of India. Dinner at boat or Hotel Samrat. On the way show western cost. Southern part of tip looks like southern France and when illuminated at night called Queen’s necklace. Overnight at Goregaon Sports Club.


3rd Day (16th September 2008, Tuesday):

Early morning visit to flower market at Dadar. Breakfast at Traditional South Indian hotel at Matunga. Departure for Goregaon Sports Club to freshen up & collect luggage. Lunch at Goregaon Sports Club & departure. On the way see lotus pond at Aarey (The Aarey Milk Colony, situated 20 miles from Bombay on the main Ghodbunder Road, is one of the most modern milk colonies in the world. Aarey is of interest, because of its natural beauty, to all besides the dairy expert and cows. There is an observation pavillion on a hill near the entrance to the colony from where one can survey an enchanting landscape, the main feature being the fine gardens laid out over nearly 4000 acres of parkland. A favorite spot for holiday excursions, there are all amenities for picnic parties). Lonavala is 100 km (apprx. 2 hours drive) from Mumbai. Reach Lonavala by first expressway of India & check-in to Hotel Sahil Sarovar Portico. Sight seeing in Lonavala. (There are numerous lakes around Lonavala. Tugauli, Lonavala and Bhushi lakes are worth visiting; so is the Walvan Dam. The small hill station of Khandala is just 5 km away. Travelers coming from Mumbai pass through Khandala before reaching Lonavala. Kaivalyadhama Yoga Hospital is 2 km from Lonavala on the road to Karla and Bhaja caves. This center attracts both local and foreign tourists seeking yogic healing. This center was founded in 1924 and conducts various courses in Yoga along with a research center and a training college. Karla and Bhaja Caves, located in the hills at a distance of 11 km from Lonavala, are important places to visit. These rock-cut cave temples dating back to 2nd century bc and are amongst the oldest and finest examples of Buddhist rock cut temple art in India, belonging to the Hinayana sect of Buddhism).

If time permits & delegates show interest, we will also visit famous Vipassana Meditation Centers. Mr. Goenka is a teacher of Vipassana meditation in the tradition of the late Sayagyi U Ba Khin of Burma (Myanmar). Dinner & overnight at Hotel Sahil Saroval Portico.


4th Day (17th September 2008, Wednesday):

Breakfast at Hotel. Departure for Pune, 60 kms (apprx. 1.5 hours drive) from Lonavala. Visit the biggest Agarbatti / Incense manufacturing factory located at Pune where we will show making of Hand-rolled as well as scented Incense. Lunch at Pune & visit Om nursery of local flowers on way to Pune. Overnight at Hotel Sahil Sarovar Portico, Lonavala.


5th Day (18th September 2008, Thursday):

Morning Breakfast at Hotel Sahil Sarovar. Departure for Palghar, which is 160km from Lonavala (apprx. 3 hours drive). Lunch on the way at Express Inn, Ghodbunder. On the way see some of wild tree of Frankincense. Visit to Dandekar farm (On Surya river) cultivating vetivert and other crops. 6th Day (19th September 2008, Friday):

Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Patchouli plantations at nearby area of Daman called Vapi, which is 120kms. It is another major industrial zone. Lunch at Hotel in Vapi. This area has emerged as one of successful culture of 1000 acres of Patchouli. Visit Daman’s Old Portuguese area. Dinner & overnight at Hotel Jungle resort.


7th Day (20th September 2008, Saturday):

Breakfast at hotel Departure for Nishant Aromas, Palghar which is 5 kms from hotel Jungle Resort to see distillation session. Lunch at Palghar factory. Afternoon session for R & D Purpose. Demonstration of GC analysis and other extraction techniques like solvent extraction of flowers and manufacture of absolute from concrete. Evening visit to Kelva Beach (Kelva Beach is credited with seven kilometers of coastline, the largest in the region. The beach houses a few thousand Suru trees. At the southern end of the beach is the Janjira or the Kelva fort. The walk to the watchtower is quiet a long haul. The fort is inaccessible during the high tide). Visit to nearby places like Sitaladevi Temple (this temple is the most imposing and spiritual structure in the area. Renowned as one of the few Shaktipeeths in the region, it is a veriatble must-visit for the hundreds of the Maharashtrian devotees who turn up by the bus load every Tuesday to offer their prayers and flowers whilst seeking the deity's divine blessings. Please note that the temple is only open from 6.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.) On the way, visit to farm of Spices, Vanilla and Lotus Ponds. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel Jungle Resort


8th Day (21st September 2008, Sunday) :-

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Mumbai.


Reach Airport for the delegates who register themselves only for Around Mumbai trip. They will depart on 20.09.2008 through their respective flights.
Delegates who opt for our further extended tour will stay at Goregaon Sports club. Dinner & Overnight at Goregaon Sports Club.


9th Day (22th September 2008, Monday):

After breakfast, depart for Mumbai Airport to catch the flight for Raipur. Reach Raipur Airport & depart for C.G.Herbals. Visit to the fields for Nagarmotha & Vetiver Cultivation at C.G. Herbals distillation site. We have 12 distillation units at Chhattisgarh of MS; SS. Various material will be charged in the distillation unit in presence of delegates for Nagarmotha, Patchouli, Vetivert, Basil & others. Once the material is charged & distillation starts, we will leave the site for visiting plantations at 1½ drive to Bagpara where we are doing cultivation in Organic mode. We are taking cultivation of Patchouli & Vetiver & will also try to introduce Patchouli as a sustainable model. Packed lunch will be taken along with. And will return to C.G. Herbals factory to see the distillation closing ceremony. Overnight at Chattisgarh at Hotel Babylon (http://www.hotelbabylon.com).


10th Day (23rd September 2008, Tuesday):

We will visit the ancient excavation site like SIRPUR (The ancient city of Sirpur (also called Shirpur) has been mentioned in ancient epigraphic records, dating back to the 5th to the 8th centuries A.D. The city was once the capital of the Sarbhapuriya and Somvanshi Kings of Dakshin (south) Kosala and was an important Buddhist centre. It was even visited by Hiuen Tsang, the great Chinese traveler and scholar, around 635 AD. The small but interesting town of Sirpur has many beautiful temples worth visiting on Sirpur Tour. The 7th century Laxman Temple (dedicated to lord Vishnu) is considered as one of the finest brick temples of India with a stone doorframe. Located amidst the quite and beautiful landscaped garden, the Temple is famous for its interesting carvings and is the main tourist attraction of Sirpur. Other famous attractions of Sirpur are the Gandheshwar Temple and the Buddha Vihara. The most interesting feature of the Sirpur is that archeological objects associated with the various sects and religions like Shaiv, Vaishnav, Jain and Buddhism (of approximately the same age) have been found side by side). We will show manufacturing of natural incense at same site with help of newly developed coating machines. Also visit to Medicinal & Aromatic Park, which is part of CREDA PARK, an energy conservation park. A special agency called CREDA (Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency) has been set up, and over 1200 villages in dense forests are being electrified using off-grid energy. Micro-Hydel power potential is also being tapped in a big way, and several projects have been identified for viable private investment. The park is founded by the wife of late Prime Minister of India Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. Here it is trend that if you have lost your beloved ones, you can name a plant a tree in the Garden with that person’s name... 11th Day (24th September 2008, Wednesday):

Visit around Chhattisgarh state for shopping. Visit to ancient museum. Back to Hotel. Local Tribal Folk dance of Chhattisgarh can be arranged during our stay, which is very popular. Overnight at Chattisgarh at Hotel Babylon.


12th Day (25th September 2008, Thursday):

After breakfast packing & early morning visit to State owned nursery where Horticulture crops are combined with Aromatic Crops. Departure for Airport to catch the flight for Mumbai. Check in at Goregaon sports club. Depart for visit to Sugandhim showroom & plantations in western suburbs of Mumbai. We have located few Kadamba trees in the area, which we will show to all delegates. We will also visit some Lotus ponds. Also visit Little Kashmir at Aarey Milk Colony, which is 5 kms from Sugandhim Showroom and where many plantations for such trees can be seen. Visit to Sugandhim showroom. Overnight in Mumbai GSC.


13th Day (26th September 2008, Friday):

Breakfast at Hotel Goragon Sports Club. Checkout by 11-12’ O Clock. Sight seeing, Shopping & lunch. Visit to places of your interest on request. Departure to Airport to catch the flights.
