uTalk, a Skype speakphone from IPEVO, now is on sale: 2 for NT$ 3,990. If you just buy one, its price (NT$ 2390) is some higher than USR9610’s. These two products have almost the same features.

轉眼間，一年就快過去，去年的差不多這個時候[1]，我去江老師的EMBA課堂上，把二度[2]選定的論文主題Skype，拿來做專題報告。

一陣子沒去逛Skype Forum，剛去晃了一下，發現最近有個人提了一個Naked Skype的點子，引起廣泛討論與迴響，還被登到Skype Developer Zone Blog上。

Polycom, bragging more than 90% market share in office speakers (by the news article “Skype Piles It On” of BW), announced a co-branded speaker- Polycom Communicator- for Skype on May 1. That gadget is expected to retail for $129.

Skype 宣佈用戶數跨過1億大關，實際上只是1億個註冊帳號罷了。 

小路個人目前就有3個Skype 帳號，而且我好友名單上不上Skype超過半年的帳號，起碼超過15%，可是這些朋友幾乎每天都會在MSN Messenger 上遇到。 

因為Skype不公佈Active Users(例如一周至少上線一次之類)數目，所以同時上線人數遂成為間接衡量Skype Network 有效Size的指標。如果2006年底Skype的顛峰時刻同時上線人數能破10 M，這遠遠比系統內有100 M個名字，值得慶祝！ 

Skype與其夥伴們得好好想想，除了VoIM(這個每家大角色都已經追上來了)以外，還能拿出什麼新服務，吸引並留住用戶，不論這些服務是免費或是要收錢。
