1. IS Coffee Always Fresh
Its mark is very interesting. Try to collect the two words that will become a question—is coffee always fresh?
Well, of course not. We use roasted coffee beans.
2. Six Feet Under
It is the name of a TV series by HBO which is one of my favorite TV series.
(It means death.)

3. Depose!
Thank for the red shirt army, I can learn one more word.

4. I am just turning purple!
(It means I am cold to death.)
It is a conversation between Phoebe and Rachael in “Friends.”
Rachael insisted to go somewhere chilly with Phoebe. But Phoebe felt so cold that she said “I am turning purple!” to imply Rachael that she is cold to death.
5. It rains dogs and cats.
(It means heavy rain.)


Bill Bryson was born in Iowa, 1951. In 1973, he moved to England where he met his wife and decided to settle. He wrote many travel articles for some English newspaper for many years. After living in Britain for two decades, he decided to move back to the United State in 2000. He thought that he is an alien because the place he born is so different from the place existing in his memory. Hence, he wrote the book.
His other famous works: A Walk in the woods, In a sunburned country, Short history of nearly everything.
