Because of its name is iPod?

New IPod Listening Study Shows Surprising Behavior Of Teens

A new study involving iPods and teenagers by the University of Colorado at Boulder and Children's Hospital Boston indicates teenagers who receive pressure from their peers or others to turn down the volume of their iPods instead turn them up higher.
iPods Help Doctors Improve Stethoscope Skills
(Mar. 26, 2007) — The ability of physicians to recognize abnormal heart sounds is only fair at best. Fortunately, the solution is simple: Listening repeatedly. In fact, intensive repetition -- listening at least 400

New Study Provides First Guidelines For Safe Levels Of IPod Music Listening
(Oct. 19, 2006) — A new analysis of iPods and other portable, digital music players by researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Children's Hospital in Boston has produced the first-ever detailed ..

在iPod之前,隨身聽的代名詞是Sony的Walkman(1979年上市)。
The original Walkman introduced a change in music listening habits, allowing people to carry their own choice of music with them.(wiki)
