北歐 老食譜

最近不喜歡買新書,卻喜歡翻閱老食譜。

這本書從舊書店架上抽出來之後,就捨不得放回去了,除了封面以紅蘿蔔與紫洋蔥切片醃漬鮭魚讓我忍不住想搞一缸宴請賓客之外,旁邊小口高腳杯裡想必裝的不是伏特加就是茴香酒,背景是香郁的起士,讓我這個五感過動兒興奮莫名。封面並沒有書名,我想無論在當時或是現在的出版市場上都是值得一提的,封底也是優雅的灰黃色,只有書背以優雅的字體寫著《The Cooking of Scandinavia》。

從經典菜色介紹北歐五國的人文地理風景,一本引人食慾流連並引誘下廚實踐的食譜就是要圖文並茂,攝影師Richard Meek將飲食生活情境與靜物拍攝處理的恰到好處,也難怪這本1968年初版的書價格飆漲到美金$20.60,甚至以上。

這本書可以說是讓平時喜愛收集食譜的愛好者趨之若騖,回家查了網路上的資料才發現自己是多麼幸運,我所購得的價格就不在這裡公佈了,免得讓朋友們毒打一頓(尤其是北歐迷OR先生)。不過,值得一提的是,我在選購老食譜的時候,赫然發現美食節目的少奶殺手主持人陳鴻也在旁邊,還好我比他先找到,不然有可能就不會在這裡分享美好的日常發現嘍。

假如你是美食愛好者,也喜歡cooking,不妨上網找找看有沒有便宜的版本。(分為精裝本、平裝本以及線圈裝本。)

Includes the countries of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland. This book is a wonderful travelogue as well as cookbook. Full of full-color photographs of the land and its people and the food. Step-by-step instructions for making some of the foods like Swedish pancakes and Danish pastry. Many recipes. Very good condition - no stickers, writing, pencil or pen marks or labels. Binding is tight. 206pp.
