Cat Stevens, Yusuf Islam.

本來在"萬能"的you tube上尋找腦海裡一首不斷"hey hey hey, good bye"的旋律，不知道怎麼連啊連的，連到了一位很奇特的歌手，Cat Stevens。一開始是他的Peace Train讓我驚喜，之後不斷連呀連的連下去，才知道我發現了一位厲害人物。他們說，Cat Stevens之前曾是英國流行音樂界的star，多有名我也不清楚，繼續估狗一下才發現：

(隨便貼一個專輯的介紹)原名Steven Georgiou，出生於英國倫敦，父親為希臘人母親則來自瑞典，16歲年紀，就在進入藝術學校就讀同時，他愛上了民謠音樂，在知名創作/製作人Mike Hurst(Bell And Sebastian、Nirvana、Iron Maiden)協助下，以Cat Stevens作為藝名開始了創作歌手生涯，1967-1973年間陸續問世七張暢銷專輯，締造多首經典代表單曲：包括兩首成人抒情榜冠軍"Morning Has Broken"以及"Peace Train"，搖滾公雞洛史都華與創作才女雪瑞兒可洛爭相翻唱之碎心作"The First Cut Is The Deepest"、Mr. Big曾翻唱"Wild World"、男孩特區最愛主唱羅南偕同Cat重唱"Father And Son"，仍搶下英國金榜亞軍紀錄，還有"Moon Shadow"等令人記憶深刻之佳品。1977年Cat Stevens改名Yusuf Islam進入伊斯蘭教，兩年後逐漸淡出流行樂界，1981年Yusuf 開始創作一些宗教題材的歌曲，迄今為止在自己的音樂廠牌「Mountain of Light」下發行了多張創作專輯。----資料來源-->博客來音樂館。

另外補充，七零年代末期他改名為Yusuf lalam、發行最後一張專輯〈Backto Earth〉後，就專心在創作與慈善援助。八零年代開始援助非洲的飢荒、捐獻每年所得，並成立基金會和學校。不過80年代時，他公開支持何梅尼判處「魔鬼詩篇」一書作者魯希迪（Salman Rushdie)，遭到極大非議，被視為恐怖主義支持者。

Yusuf Islam一下是恐怖主義支持者，搞得翻唱他歌曲的歌手急著刪掉專輯中的音樂，一下子變成和平獎得主。短短搜尋，實在不太了解這個人。但他的音樂及氣質，makes me like him.

2006年12月，諾貝爾和平獎音樂會上，Yusuf向窮人的銀行家-穆罕默德﹒尤努斯(Muhammad Yunus)表示祝賀。Peace Train是首愉快的歌曲，節奏讓人無法克制的搖動起來。
