一字師

"Indeed, directly they were inside her room, she sat on the end of the bed and said, ‘I suppose you think I'm mad?'" (The Voyage Out 261).

南飛烏鵲曰：
斷斷續續讀吳爾芙的小說，對裡頭「directly」這字的用法有疑問。查字典才知道，「directly」還能當連接詞用，意思如同「as soon as」。
