I hope it is not offensive to correct your English critique about Cape No. 7. I like the movie too and I have read your comments on the movie. For other messages you left on the board, I don\\\\\\\'t think your English teacher has done her job right. I wish my correction may make you realize that her revision was far from \\\\\\\'perfectly\\\\\\\'. -------------------------------------------- Last Saturday I went to see a movie called “Cape NO.7”, with my friend Melody, who I have known each other nearly ten years. I have to admit that I went to see the movie just because I was curious about why the movie could get so popular and hot in either the words of mouth or the box office. However, after I walked out of the movie theater, I realized why it could capture so many audiences’ eyes and touch their hearts. Here I would like to give some of my opinions about the movie below. Firstly, “Cape No.7” is a 100% Taiwanese-made movie which is full of laughs and tears, deeply pressing the hearts of local audience. Although many people told me it is somewhat like a Japanese movie as the narrator read love letters in Japanese in most scenes, I still think it is a Taiwanese movie because both the familiar characters and the beautiful scenery in Kenting clearly marj the identities of Taiwan. Secondly, “Cape No.7” tells us a simple story which is not too serious and heavy for the audience to reciprocate and the story can happen around you if you live in Taiwan. You can easily find similar cute characters and beautiful scenery in this movie such as the hard-working actress Tomoko or the cool guy A-Ga…etc. That’s why people have been touched by that movie. In addition, “Cape No.7” is a romantic, peaceful movie. It is a story connecting different people in Taiwan including aboriginese, Hakka, Taiwanese and even Japanese. It’s really a movie of humanity where ordinary people chase their dreams, loves and ideas of life. Music of this movie is also very cool; The townspeople are teamed to perform an awesome music show filled with lots of affection. It’s also a humorous comedy, I like the elderly characters that stick to traditional Chinese music and devote themselves to next generation and their hometown. In conclusion, “Cape No.7” is very worth seeing over and over again and sharing with your friends and family. The box office now has achieved more than $200 million in Taiwan which is about to break several records in the furture and to become legendary!
