The theme of three papers on Stuart (1998), Powell (1990), Bradach & Eccles (1989) was related to network-based. Really, network forms of organization represented a viable pattern of economic organization (Powell, 1990). According Powell (1990), networks were contrasted with market and hierarchical governance structures, and the distinctive features of networks were highlighted. How could we define to network clearly? Indeed, a network-centric organization was a network governance pattern emerging in many progressive so far. This implied new ways of working, with consequences for the enterprise’s infrastructure, processes, people and culture. In addition a network-centric organization is a sensible response to a complex environment. The business climate of the new millennium was characterized by profound and continuous changes due to globalization, exponential leaps in technological capabilities, and other market forces. Reviewing on Powell (1990) and Stuart (1998), there were same concept on them. Stuart (1998) deemed that semiconductor industry was a suitable context for testing the hypotheses in his paper. It was because semiconductor industry consisted of a heterogeneous population of firms that vary in size, scope, age, and innovation strategy. Also, there had been many alliances in the industry, semiconductor industry offered ample variation for testing the hypotheses. In other side, Powell (1990) took examples for network arrangement, so, he used craft high technologies industry. The examples presented well- researched cases that highlighted the many network features associated with craft production. Therefore, we realized that both of them used high technological industry. Moreover, the paper of Stuart (1998) was related to an investigation of strategic alliance formation. Powell (1990) also stressed on strategic alliance and partnerships. He deemed that firms were seeking to combine their strengths and overcame weaknesses in a collaboration that was much broader and deeper than the typical marketing join ventures and technology licensing that was user previously. So, Powell (1990) and Stuart (1998) had similar notions on their network-based paper.Bradach & Eccles (1989) argued that price, authority, and trust were independent and could be combined in a variety of ways. This review paper was organized the three control mechanism- price, authority, and trust, that govern economic transactions between actors. The notion of Bradach & Eccles (1989) was different with the concept of Powell (1990) because Bradach & Eccles (1989) added trust in their paper. The only similar concept between Bradach & Eccles (1989) and Powell (1990) was that the term of price what Bradach & Eccles (1989) mentioned on was mapping to the term of market what Powell (1990) specified on. And authority was facing to hierarchy. So, this was some different and similar between of them.To sum up, Stuart (1998) had been to contribute to the burgeoning literature aimed at trying to understand organizational conduct and strategy through the lens of network models of industry structure. He was first one to point out two dimensions what were crowding and prestige; Powell (1990) provided a well-defined on network theory. Bradach & Eccles (1989) added up a value point which was trust in their paper.ReferenceBradach,J., & Eccles. R. 1989.
