自迪倫 63 年初創作 Masters of War 以來，總共演唱了 812 次，而九四年
二月十六日在廣島的這場演出，則是三十年來首次的純 acoustic 版。

Masters of War講的是誰？單純讀歌詞的字面意義，任何意圖引發戰爭的人，
可能都是聽眾心目中的 master of war ；但迪倫在不止一次的訪問中談到，
這首歌講的是軍火工業，是艾森豪離職演說所提到的 Military-Industrial
Complex。

有人說，Master of War 是六三年的迪倫對「抗議歌手」這個形象的告別作，
但迪倫在 Biograph 的 liner note 裡接受訪問時，回答道：「I never felt
it was goodbye, or hello (to protest). I was just in it.」，事實上，
迪倫也的確在兩年後，才正式告別抗議歌曲。

Masters of War 另一個值得一聽的版本，是 Pearl Jam 主唱 Eddie Vedder
