每一位女孩子都憧憬公主般的人生，1947年出生於中上階層家庭的松子也不例外。一路平順成長的她，畢業於優秀的大學、在高中擔任教職，卻沒想到在初任教師那一年，人生急轉直下…… “一切的故事就從松子被發現在公園的那一天開始…”松子在她的故鄉擔任音樂老師。有一天，她為了心愛的學生洋一頂替偷竊的罪名，但是在緊要關頭，洋一卻背叛了她…被趕出學校後，沒人愛的松子。開始不停地尋找自己的真愛。她的人生中遇過各式各樣的男人，有暴力傾向的劇作家、嫖客、理髮師…等等。在歷經不倫之戀後，淪落成酒家女，甚至殺人入獄，都不能阻擋她對愛的渴求。直到那天，她再度遇到洋一… 這個真人真事改編的故事，用各種讓人意想不到的方式表現。豐富的色彩與豪華的特效讓人目不暇給；夢幻到不像話卻又帶著淡淡心碎的故事令人難忘。
The story is about the dramatic life of Matsuko who was found murdered by the river at age 53. Like Memories of Tomorrow, it is based on a Japanese novel by the same name. Matsuko, deprived from her father’s love since she was a kid, has been longing for the very thing she couldn’t get – love and a happy family. Throughout her life she kept bumping into the wrong men, and even in the end she thought she’d finally found the love of her life, he couldn’t face her love and ran away.
