Today's hybird noodle

Today I had a light branch. Not until 6pm, I felt hungry again. Since I was still in the middle of work, I didn't intend to spend too much time on cooking. After checking the fridge, I decided to cook spaghetti. People say spaghetti is a dish reflects a woman's fridge and I could not agree any more.

Let's check what I usually store in my fridge.


Halloumi Cheese
karyatis mixed hot chilies (in brine)
Nonpareilles capers (in sherry vinegar)
Sun-blushed tomatoes (homemade)
Chorizo
Salami
Garlic olive oil


Whisking all the ingredients with fresh-picked basils then putting aside for the pasta sauce later. Before I started to do the paste, I had boiled the water. Therefore, when the sauce paste was ready, the water would be boiled for cooking noodle. As to the choice of noodle, I added some dry linguini since the fresh wholegrain spaghetti was only enough for one-person portion and the linguini's competenceo to grip sauce. Speaking honestly, even though there was plenty of wholegrain spaghetti, I would use half wholegrain half normal noodle. Eating wholegrain spaghetti makes me feel depressed. This is what I call the guilty-free indulgence.


While the noodle is cooking, I heated up another pan for frying chopped Halloumi Cheese and cured sausage. Until the noodle is properly cooked, I dried the pot and added the noodle to the frying pan and mixed them together.


For an indulged version, cream can be added here.


For the health concerns, I put some salad on the bottom of plate then added the hot noodle on the top of salad. So the salad can be warmed and shared the flavour of noodle.


Totally, I spent about 30 mins on preparing a dish can be eaten in front of computer, which should be acceptable for a working woman.
