le désaveu de la science

“Cette première consigne que Husserl donnait à la phénoménologie commençante d'être une « psychologie descriptive » ou de revenir « aux choses mêmes », c'est d'abord le désaveu de la science. Je ne suis pas le résultat ou l'entrecroisement des multiples causalités qui determinent mon corps ou mon « psychisme », je ne puis pas me penser comme une partie du monde, comme le simple objet de la biologie, de la psychologie et de la sociologie, ni fermer sur moi l'univers de la science. “(PP II)

 討論：首先，就整個文脈而言，le désaveu de la science 譯為「科學的譴責」之後，應視為胡塞爾對於「科學的譴責」所採取的現象學行動，而不是反過來說這個現象學行動受到了「科學的譴責」。其次，ni fermer sur moi l'univers de la science顯然在承前文的脈絡下，是「我也不能將我自己封限於科學論域之內」的意思，而不是反過來，我「不能不面對科學世界」。這是整個段落的誤解與誤譯。不過，JJ的原譯，未將「胡塞爾給初生的現象學下的第一道命令」直譯出來，顯然也是一種疏失，這也是有機會重譯時必須改進的地方。

或許這裡的「命令」幅「指令」會更合適吧。讓我們看看Colin Smith的英譯文(viii)，這種「對照」另一種語言的時刻，總是令人興奮，像是讓完全不同風格的語言自行闢室對話：

Husserl's first directive to phenomenology, in its early stages, to be a 'descriptive psychology', or to return to the 'things themselves', is from the start a rejection of science. I am not an outcome or the meeting-point of numerous causal agencies which determine my bodily or psychological make-up. I cannot conceive myself as nothing but a bit of the world, a mere object of biological, psychological or sociological investigation. I cannot shut myself up within the realm of science.
