Love Is Blue

《L'amour est bleu》雖然在 Eurovision Song Contest 中只得的第四名，其後卻成為一首十分流行的歌曲，除了法語的原曲有不少歌手翻唱外，它的英語版本《Love Is Blue》也引來很多歌手的垂青。手頭上有幾個來自男歌手的版本，但在《Love Is Blue》的歌詞內，用上了多種顏色來形容失戀後的感覺，個人覺得這情懷較為適合女歌手演繹，這裡我選擇了黃露儀的版本。

黃露儀(Tracy Huang)原名黃鶯鶯，出生於台灣的宜蘭，在70年代到新加坡發展她的歌唱事業，其後取名黃露儀，至90年代再回復原名黃鶯鶯。黃露儀的歌唱事業也可說是橫跨數十年，在70年代主要是唱英文歌為主，多是一些抒情的歌曲，1979年開始灌錄國語大碟，重回台灣的樂壇。1983年與關正傑合唱的《常在我心間，愛你不分早晚》，可說是她的第一首粵語歌曲，在香港十分受歡印。《Love Is Blue》收錄在她1982年出版的大碟〈Songs of the 60's volume 2〉。

《Love Is Blue》的歌詞跟原曲《L'amour est bleu》意思十分相近，不過多了一些顏色，有藍、灰、紅和黑。除此之外，《Love Is Blue》的歌詞中，每兩局是押韻的：blue, you; gray, away; red, bed; heart, apart; shone, gone; known, alone。法文的《L'amour est bleu》和英文的《Love Is Blue》，雖然字面都是 Love Is Blue，但兩個 "Blue" 字的意思其實大相徑庭。《Love Is Blue》的 "Blue" 很明顯是指憂郁的意思，而《L'amour est bleu》的 "Blue" 反而是指天空晴朗時蔚藍的藍。從英文的翻譯可看到歌詞有關藍色的句語：
