conversation with other women
電影中的重逢，最為我們這年紀的人所樂道的，大概就是「愛在黎明破曉時」中的伊森霍克和茱莉蝶兒在「愛在日落巴黎時」的重逢，不再年輕、不再夢幻，愛情不像嗆口的、充滿泡沫的啤酒，而是澄淨的伏特加，喝下去才知濃烈。
其中最為這群自以為文藝青年者所喜愛的，莫過於其中的台詞。
Celine說：I believe if there's any kind of God it wouldn't be in any of us, not you or me but just this little space in between. If there's any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something. I know, it's almost impossible to succeed but who cares really? The answer must be in the attempt.
深夜，在維也納河邊的詩人說：Daydream delusion, limousine eyelash / Oh baby with your pretty face / Drop a tear in my wineglass / Look at those big eyes / See what you mean to me / Sweet-cakes and milkshakes / I'm a delusion angel / I'm a fantasy parade / I want you to know what I think / Don't want you to guess anymore / You have no idea where I came from / We have no idea where we're going / Lodged in life / Like branches in a river/ Flowing downstream / Caught in the current / I carry you / You'll carry me / That's how it could be / Don't you know me? / Don't you know me by now?
或是兩個人面對面打電話的遊戲。
等到他們再次見面時，Celine已經比較老成世故了，她說：Memory's a wonderful thing if you don't have to deal with the past.
最近看了Conversation with other women，之所以會看，主要是因為Helena Bonham Carter演女主角，因為她自從慾望之翼之後都演些有點古怪的角色，比如比較久以前的flight club或是最近的Sweeney Todd，其實也不是說很怪，應該說都是外表超級怪、舉止也有點古怪，但內心是無比純真的角色。我想她會接演這種外表這麼「正常」的角色很不尋常，加上演男主角的Aaron Eckhart之前在thank you for smoking和black dahlia當中演的都還不錯，就租DVD回家看了。
看完之後有跟看完愛在巴黎日落時一樣的感動與驚喜，低成本製作，12天就拍完了，所有的劇情幾乎都在男女主角的對話中，真的是超級厲害的編劇！因為editor辭職，甚至還是導演自己用Apple的軟體剪接的，真是超低成本的了。
很少在我的影評當中提醒其他人有劇情，不過這部片沒看過的人千萬不能看下去，實在是太精彩了！

剛開始會以為只是一男一女在調情，宴會中無人搭理的臨時被抓來湊數的第七位伴娘，跟新娘的弟弟，之後轉為偷情，一個已經結婚，一個有女朋友。
講到女主角之前的婚姻讓她心碎，男主角說so you married a cardiologist！
之後兩個人扭扭捏捏進了旅館房間，Helena叫Aaron把衣服脫了，因為I want to see what I am into。結果，快四十歲的男主角已經有藏不住的小腹，被Helena驚呼弄的Aaron相當困窘，不過Helena馬上就安慰他說這是正常的，就像歲月會在樹幹上留下紋路一樣，當Aaron說他23歲的女朋友要他減肥時，Helena抱著他說，23歲的小女生懂什麼呢？

接著劇情又往另一個方向推進，男主角顯然對女主角用情很深，試圖說服她回到他身邊，If the cardiologist is, decides that you are too old and decrepit and ugly to be at all lovable, I am available to tolerate you in your golden years. 顯然女主角也有些動搖。然而，到了最後一刻，女主角還是回到她的世界，而男主角也得回到他自己原來的地方。
也許，到電影結束的前一刻，我們以為一切都結束了，女主角已經要離開了，她顯然一開始就決定好了。
然而，在送她上計程車前，男主角問她，既然她跟新娘也沒什麼交情，顯然對於其他來參加婚禮的賓客也沒有興趣，為什麼還會答應來充當第七位伴娘？--是因為可以見到他吧，因為他是新娘的弟弟。
就在此時，我們才瞭然原來女主角心中也是有這樣的轉折的。
唉唉，能在多年之後又看到一部認真寫劇本的純對話電影，真是太幸福了！（事實上是2005年出的電影呢，沒想到兩三年後才看到。）
最後要加上一點，這樣的重逢讓我想起了柴門文的同班同學，不過這個相比來說沒什麼力道。另一部也花許多時間鋪陳同樣劇情的是楊德昌的一一，然而，一一當中情感非常非常收斂，最後的結局也有些冷冽，不若before sunset和conversation with other women，雖然最後可能還是分開，但是其中充滿了飽和的感情、率性、以及溫暖。這應該可以反映出不同的文化背景吧。

真是太巧了，我今天一股做氣看完了before sunrise和before sunset，雖然有點感觸，但是已經記不起來了。

你假如這幾天有時間的話，在還DVD之前可以借conversation with other women給你。

我也剛看過了"Conversation with other women", 觀看時的確也喚起了Before sunrise/sunset的片段. 到片末更來一幕的士後座...但還是看Before Sunrise/Sunset時感觸較大. My favorite.
同意。
conversation with other women感覺比較賣弄機巧，而before sunrise/sunset則較富文藝氣息。
