【Abstract】CKS admitted that Taiwan (Formosa and the Pescadores) were merely a trust territory.
The opinion derived from the occupation after Pacific War. The Allies grated occupation power not to China, neither ROC nor PRC, but to Generalissimo Chiang-Kai-shek by the General Order No.1.
As an occupation authority, neither CKS nor ROC was granted any power to change the status of the territories. The "KMT-CCP Platform" also holds no power to do other way. Instead, from CKS to MYJ bear the legal liability to preserve Taiwan intact including her foreign exchange reserves, no matter how long.

2009.01.31的今天中天新聞播出，美國學者喬治城大學的沙特（Robert Sutter）又表達台灣對美國美國也有關係、台灣應有第二套應變計畫等。應記者臧國華的詢問後，沙特回答了他曾經表示過的意見，就是台灣當局再這樣下去，若有必要時，美國應與日本，甚至於不排除直接與中國協商（台灣問題）。他說，中國會很高興此。
