世界好像有一種稱為「潮流」的東西，讓許多社會現象，會跨國呼應。
在90年 代，當台灣進入民主化階段時，東亞國家如韓國（盧泰愚到金泳三、金大中）、日本（自民黨分裂）與菲律賓（馬可仕倒台），也不約而同的在政治上有所轉變。福 山與韓廷頓的觀察，的確有事實作為基礎的。現在的問題是，好像～，這種堂堂進入民主殿堂的潮流又有消退？政治偏於一方。原因會是911嗎？
這篇文章說「共和黨已經漸漸淪為一個地方性政黨」而且「為歐巴馬革命開創黃金機會」，美國的共和黨在兩院都只到4成，民主黨佔6成。台灣，也是這樣一偏卻更極端，國民黨佔3/4。
這篇文章令人費解的地方是最後，「David Brooks因此預言共和黨不輸掉三次總統大選不會翻身。這對從毛澤東起一直在美國黨爭中偏愛共和黨的北京而言，是必須正視的現實前景。」這判斷在過去也許說得通，但90年代後對台灣很不利或不聞不問的，不正是民主黨的兩位總統嗎？
權力失去制衡，結果就是濫權、不知節制，而且，現任總統譏諷前任，比批評還遭，顯然不當。如：美國總統歐巴馬昨晚出席白宮記者協會（White House Correspondents' Association）年度晚宴時，把錢尼世界末日的看法，串連成逗人發噱的笑料。他諷刺地說：「錢尼應該在這裡的，不過他忙著寫回憶錄，書名暫定為『如何槍殺朋友與質問人』。」
好笑嗎？但，台灣也一樣！

【Comment】這篇訪問中的：political will of the leader（領導人的政治意志）、台灣不會仿效新加坡設立貪污調查局來解決問題...新加坡領袖以身作則，所展現的強烈政治意志，卻是防止貪污的關鍵因素、《論語》等等，透露了這群人的思想源頭：《禮記‧大學篇》「修身齊家治國平天下」的階層順序關係。
問題是，這是農業社會的道理，好像欽天監對於曆法預測正確，就確保經濟循環平穩。而現在，卻是工業，甚至資訊社會。這等於是用2000年前的技巧來統治現代社會，其結果，當然是強調「權威」（意志），不容挑戰了。
這樣看，扁會被放嗎？應該是不會的，要不然就沒有「意志」了。
這是從現代返祖前近代：道德還未與法律區分開，人治凌駕法治，血族關係取代機關職務的時代。
台灣時代的倒退，還不僅是從現代性返祖為前近代階段。外圍的搶救國文，其行為本身與其說是文學運動，不如說是「獨尊儒術」的政治運動。
剩下的，如「兩岸鬥爭了80幾年，分隔了60多年」，也是「儒術天下觀」的遺緒，他怎會不知道1930年代，台灣是日本的一部份，「兩岸」（不是國共）如何鬥爭？真要說的話，是「日警抓中國海盜」。

Russia prepares to discuss the northern islands issue with Japan while Premier Vladimir Putin visits Japan. That means Ma said there were a treaty of peace between Japan and USSR in 1956 dealing with the disputed territories on April 28 is simply NOT TRUE.

Why Ma, as the highest leader of ROC, told us a false story to disguise us?

Ma said the conclusion of Taipei Treaty of 1952 proved the "fact" that the sovereignty of Taiwan has been returned to ROC seven years before the conclusion or 1945. It is nonsense. That means Ma respects none of international laws though he is a PhD of international law.

According to the memorandum by DoS below, the status of Formosa and the Pescadores were not yet determined in 1971 at least, which was two decades after SFPT and Treaty of Taipei. Since 1971 no treaty in terms of legal status of Formosa and the Pescadores was been made as far as we know. The only exception would be the existence of a secret treaty between the US and ROC, which in breach of all international laws as well as the US constitution and its practices.
If not, logically, the status of Formosa and the Pescadores should be the same or unsettled.

May 13th 2009 is the last date for the littoral states to claim their sovereign rights over continental shelf. Neither ROC nor Taiwan governing authority is a signatory party of the UN Convention of the Law of the Sea thus lost the right. Taiwanese are not even aware of it. Ma regime, which cares about the status of Taiwan and spoke it out loud to Japanese representative SAIDO lately give no words on this critical issue. Nevertheless, Ma himself is an expert of UNCLS.

We still do not know if Beijing has offered its claim. No matter what, Taiwan will be in the realm of "Chinese continental shelf".
Knock, knock Mr. Ma!
