◆馬親中，美國賣P-3C？

Professor Chong-Pin Lin warned that there is a "Red Line" lies between Taiwan and China while the two are moving toward detent. The military cooperation and interaction should not include giving away the US information. However, the US will sale Taiwan 12 P-3C. The point is P-3C itself is a combat data platform. 松山和羽田，確定將開通

【Comment】前幾天，台灣這邊說松山機場是個「商務機場」～，有趣。
 
日台就明年秋季開通羽田至台北定期包機達成協議　■共同社（2009.02.20）

據日台相關人士透露，日本和台灣的航空主管部門19日在東京舉行非正式磋商，就2010年10月羽田機場再擴建工程竣工後開通羽田和台北松山機場間的定期包機一事達成協議。預計日台共4家航空公司將參與其中。
此次磋商從17日開始。開通兩地間的定期包機也是台灣馬英九政府計劃落實的政策之一。日本方面也希望通過提高兩地往來的便捷性大力推動日台交流。

◆中越戰爭30年

  【Comment】The 1979 Sino-Vietnam War happened shortly after the PRC's normalization with the US and Deng Xiao-Ping visited the US. The lesson is that the political detent may mean nothing under military considerations.
對我們而言，此事的歷史教訓是：1979年中越戰爭，是在1979美中建交與鄧小平訪美，中國已經取得美國承認，情勢一片大好的雰圍下發生的。

希拉蕊（Hillary Rodham Clinton）真是個厲害的角色，渾身上下都是政治細胞，柯林頓「先生」比起她來，算是小咖。

希拉蕊訪日，日本媒體原先描述為國務卿就任後首次外訪就選定日本，顯然注重美日關係。這種話由日本人口中說出來，可以視為「需要安慰」。然而，說「美日關係是美國亞洲政策的基石」（A Cornerstone of U.S. Policy）的人不是別人，是希拉蕊。 ...繼續閱讀

◆法國政府承認在納粹大屠殺中的「國家責任」

【Comment】承認罪行是很困難的心理狀態。
過去的法國政府，總是將罪推給納粹德國或維琪政府，卻忽略自己的政府正是繼承法國合法政府「維琪政府」。
橋歸橋、路歸路，「逮捕、埋葬與安置到中途站」，不是別人，是由維琪政府所執行。這部分和納粹屠殺無關，所以接下來是主張賠償。而法院雖然說國家有責任，但卻不認為需要賠償。戰後，已經補償與象徵性賠償過了。

◆日本，怎樣看庫頁島與台灣？

庫頁島【Comment】Shouldn't Japan regard status of Taiwan as an undetermined territory like Southern Sakhalin?
Southern Sakhalin was ceded by Russia to Japan Empire in 1905, according to the Article 9-annex of the Treaty of Portsmouth. Russia occupied there few days before Japan's surrender in 1945.
However, Japan just renounced Southern Sakhalin as well as other territories in SFPT.
If Japan sees Southern Sakhalin an area yet to determine under international law, she should treat Taiwan the same way as well.
