John Denver

充滿人文氣息，全球總銷售量超過兩億張，堪稱本世紀最偉大的鄉村搖滾及美式民謠樂派歌手。包括了他與Olivia Newton John、Emmy Lou Harris、男高音Placido Domingo合作的珍貴錄音等五十首暢銷單曲。

John Denver堪稱是七Ｏ年代最受歡迎的鄉村民謠創作歌手，他溫暖、樂觀、貼近生活的音樂風格，不僅因忠實反映了「美國夢」的理想而使他成為美國流行文化的象徵之一，其清爽富朝氣的健康形象以及對於人道主義與環保議題的積極推動，更令他成為各階層老少樂迷們心目中的模範藝人。

 


1943年除夕出生於新墨西哥州的Denver本名John Henry Deutschendorf，由於成長在空軍家庭因此自幼在東南部屢屢遷居。他的音樂生涯源自於青少年時期祖母送的一把Gibson吉他，上了德州科技大學後，他開始在當地的酒吧演唱，而為了向摯愛的洛磯山區致敬，他以地名〈Denver〉做為藝名。1964年他輟學前往洛城發展，並加入The Chad Mitcheel Trio樂團一展創作長才。1969年他離團單飛，隨即以由Peter, Paul & Mary唱紅的冠軍曲〈Leaving On a Jet Plane〉受到矚目。1971年暢銷百萬張的經典名曲〈Take Me Home, Country Roads〉與〈Sunshine On My Shoulders〉令他成為超級巨星，次年的〈Annie's Song〉與〈Back Home Again〉成績更加耀眼，而陸續推出的〈Thank God I'm a Country Boy〉、〈I'm Sorry〉亦接連登上冠軍位置，使他於1974年推出的精選輯狂銷熱賣了上千萬張，並且停留在排行榜上達兩年之久。

1977年起Denver歌而優則演，推出音樂作品的頻率也漸少，除了1977年的『I Want To Live』之外，他直到1980年才發表了新作《Autograph》。隨後Denver開始熱衷於環保與人權等議題，甚至遠赴蘇聯與中國等共產國家演唱。1991年他推出了最後一張專輯《Different Directions》，並於1994年出版自傳〈Take Me Home〉，1997年他時因墜機事件意外身亡，享年53歲。

是的

有些事情不免惋惜
而有些事情卻也難以忘懷

John Denver有獨特的嗓音,
午夜夢回裡,像是在子夜喝杯酒點根菸回顧一些好事那般的舒服
以前在國外的時候,聽他的歌特別能感受一些事情
