於一九九０年發行第一張同名專輯的Wilson Phillips，是一個由Carnie Wilson、Wendy Wilson及Chynna Phillips所組成的三人女子合唱團體。三人的父母皆是早期知名流行音樂團體團員：Carnie Wilson及Wendy Wilson兩姊妹的父親是The Beach Boys中的Brian Wilson，而Chynna Phillips的雙親則為The Mamas & The Papas的成員John Phillips與Michelle Phillips。

三人所發行的第一張同名專輯Wilson Phillips，一推出就大受歡迎，數支單曲不但拿到排行榜冠軍，專輯還得到葛萊美獎等提名，相當風光。一九九二年發行Shadows and Light，然而這張專輯並未像前一張專輯叫好又叫座，因此三人最後各奔前程。到了二０００年，她們發行精選集Greatest Hits，直到二００四年三人決定重新聚首，發行了California，重新翻唱包含The Eagles作品在內的歌曲集。

她們當年推出的第一首冠軍單曲"Hold On"，就是一首典型激勵人心的芭樂歌曲。簡單輕快的前奏響起，搭配幾聲海鷗叫聲（當年的這首歌的MV，背景就是高山和海邊、藍天白雲），緊接著出現清麗又高亢的女聲和絕佳合音，輔以輕快的曲調和簡單有朝氣的歌詞，這樣的組合果然造就一首成功暢銷歌曲。

重新翻出這一張Wilson Phillips來聽，發現自己有點聽不下去，因為這已經不是我現在喜歡的音樂類型。想當年這可是我最喜歡的專輯之一，所以才會信心十足的買了第二張Shadows and Light。聽音樂的口味真的不太一樣了。而且，因為專輯曲調過於流行，而變得不耐聽，三人的完美合音聽久了還有點膩。然而，需要打氣的時候，重聽"Hold On"，還是讓人有種舒服的感覺，似乎明天又充滿陽光。

聽音樂，偶而還是需要來顆芭樂的。
