Meantime, In the meantime, At the same time

1. In the meantime

The train won't come for an hour. What do you want to do in the meantime?

We don't have any more of your pills. In the meantime, I can offer you an alternative.

Your computer won't be arriving till Thursday. In the meantime, you can use Jude's.

2. At the same time

How can you walk and read at the same time?

My mom never allows us to eat and watch TV at the same time.

My mom is cooking and at the same time, my dad is setting the table.
= My mom is cooking. At the same time, my dad is setting the table.

3. Meanwhile

My mom is cooking . Meanwhile, my dad is setting the table.

Carl
Carl's starting college in September. Meanwhile, he's travelling around Europe.
