小弟覺得現在個人用的LX5不錯用，LX7也還可以，價位也可以接受(一千左右，請參考小弟的滑鼠敗家報告)

The ball alone is about the size of 撞球,
you don't want to carry it with you.

I like the Kensington Turbo Mouse so much
that I ended up bought 2 (1 at home, another at office).

The oikos link you provided is pretty good. It covered most of the points.

The short answer is
1. use Kensington Turbo Mouse as a reference point to compare the others
a. Is wireless worthy the money?
No, to me.
b. Is the ring (to scroll up/down) important?
My Turbo Mouse does not have it. It's a new feature I need to explore.
2. If a and b are not critical to you,
get an used one to save $$$, in case you decide to buy 2. XD
Or you can invest it on stock.
The price of stock goes up up with time,
whereas computer stuffs are on the opposite direction. Or
you can give it to me. XDDD

but i haven't been using trackball since N years ago
so i need to get used to it first.

for now, i plan to use expert in office, turbo at home w/NB.
for my family, i think i'll still get a normal mouse first
in case that my parents are not used to trackball.
