最近我家系統業者的cable modem在促銷
1m/128k的，季繳1190
一個月不到400

只是不知道東森這部份賣給外資之後
表現會不會好一點
或是一樣的陰森... = =

你說的一個月不到400 是指網路費還是網路費+電信費一個月ㄋ?
最近中華的打來要我們改接光纖, 說是優惠價 980 一個月, 之後裝要1300 一個月耶... (網路費+電信費)...想想現在接的 2m 已經要 850 一個月了... 好像也還不錯...

不過那個強迫推銷的小姐口氣就是有點不太爽.. @@

1M/128(?) should be enough for my father 90% of the time, for email, surfing, and light video (youtube).

1m/128 is a like the basic plan for ADSL internet service in tw now.. (a little faster than dial-up)

as for high speed.. not sure if you're referring to "fiber-wire" type.. usually 2M or 8M is good/fast enough for home use..

As for fiber-wire service.. it is not yet commonly used yet... that's why the China Telecomm is trying to promote it right now... officially it should be $1300 a month according to the salesman...XD

小弟說的是cable modem啦~
不用迴路費的(還電路費，忘了)
不像ADSL都是網路多少多少錢，但都不會再提說還要交一筆迴路費給中華電信(或是小字)...

我家系統台主推的是6m還有8m的，算算其實都跟現在用Hinet含迴路費的月費差不了多少...

比如說：
8m/512k 月繳750，季繳2250，半年繳4500，年繳9000
6m/384k 月繳650，季繳1950，半年繳3900，年繳7800
(p.s 以上均為DM的促銷特價)

而我現在Hinet 1M/64K的，一個月就要741塊...@@ 差不多嘛... 口切...

但因為cable modem 在東森時代實在太惡名昭彰，雖然有點想辦一條來玩，但還是會怕怕的...

唉，其他國家"上傳"都到10M了，只有台灣還在幾k、幾k的施捨給user...@@

姐仔可以去PCZONE的adsl區或光纖區先看看喔~

記得有人批評說晚上反而fiber的會更慢
不過也有人爽爽的用...

p.s 真好 TAT 小弟家這附近都老舊住宅，連社區都不是...中華電信根本不會想來換光化箱... = =

會斷線是因為你們房東太摳了
明明業者只讓他一隻小烏龜接三條線
他卻硬是接了六條
當然會斷線啊!

如果你們照業者的方式使用還常斷線
才能下這個結論喔...

all 12 tenants "share" happily. XD

他是指上傳吧?
一般以我家的下載1Mb/上傳64kb來說
1Mb = 1024kb，一般業者取1000kb比較好計算
一般撥接目前最快就是56K
1000÷56=17.857，所以下載再怎麼樣也有個17、8倍左右(全部以理論值來算)
但上傳就很慘了，64kb跟56kb基本上差不了多少了....@@

The rate at Lansing was about (*1),

1. US$15 DSL (basic 1M/128k, *1) + $8 basic phone (50 local phone calls) + mysterious tax = US$ 28

2. US$50 internet cable (2M/512k, *2) + $10 basic TV cable (20 local TV channels) + mysterious tax = US$ 70 (*2)

*1. based on my rusty memory, numbers are not quite accurate, but should be pretty close.
You must have phone to have DSL.

*2, that was 2 years ago. Maybe not very up to date.
W/o basic cable, they charge you $10 extra, so
you might as well get the basic cable.

Anyway , they all are tied to either phone or TV cable. ;=(

Having said that, for surfing + email + light video (youtube),
768k is more than enough.

When I need to download Linux distro (700MB), I let it do overnight with low priority (*1). Or,
go to school where is T1 (or T3 now?). It's a 100 M. 700MB takes only 5 min.

Call your neighbors who use the same cable company when 斷線.
If they are 斷線 too, then it's the cable company or the entire area. Otherwise,
your building may have a bad connection somewhere.
