插播: NB 近況快報
2007.08.10.
初步體檢結果出爐: LCD 瀕臨死亡, 宣告不治
(體檢者: 無辜同事)
1. 另外接一台LCD
2. 直接報銷, 買一台新的
3. 送修, 但據研判, 費用應該至少要一萬!
我的決定是:
1. 打電話問維修/客服中心, 詢問維修費用, 高於 5000 則不修
(目前17" LCD 市價甚至有低於 $5,000 的, 全新, 非二手)
2. 不修的話
A. 買一台 LCD, 預算 $5,000-$6,500
B.
a. 拿回我家, 翻出舊的 CRT 來用 (如果還沒丟的話)
b. 翻出舊的 CRT, 從我家拿到台北來使用
C. 直接買一台新的, 預算 $20,000-$27,000
電話聯絡客服的結果:
檢測費為 $525
(比同事預估的 $1000 少將近一半)
客服說問題未必是螢幕
若為螢幕, 則的確須 $10,000 以上方可解決
-->仍不考慮維修
而稍晚也確定 CRT 已被老爸拿去公司使用...

如果筆電也是純上網...Benq還是啥好像有出低於二萬以下的機種
個人覺得買新的會比維修來的划算...

Describe the syndrome to technician at the Customer Service, over the phone,
they can tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost. Or
google for other people who had similar syndrome.

客服 always says so. You'd better verify
what was your 家人 told them, and
how 客服 reached such conclusion.
Several years ago, I mistakenly put a PC 133 SDRAM
in a PC 66 computer.
客服 told me that the motherboard was bad too.

I sure she can find similar deal in Taiwan, being 小氣教主.
Also to show people that how easy we can be ripped off

besides, 1st one checking my NB said it's no problem concerning backlight.
guess the chance is getting smaller.

Still, US$ 150 (~NT$ 5000) could put you together a 3G Hz computer:
US$ 50 for MB
US$ 50 for 3GHz CPU
US$ 50 for 512 MB DDR RAM.
Oh, might need a 350 watt power supply, another US$ 30?

but like what i said
the one paid is not me, but my dad. :P
though i did see a set cost only NT$7990 on net,
i think it's better let my dad buy $9500 one.
this way,
my dad can still get the service and bother them every time the computer seems to have a problem.
since i didn't live with my family,
it seems it's more convenient for them.
(though it might not be more helpful
if i live with them... Orz)

maybe i'll write another essay about the 2 computer later.
(maybe not! :P)
