Keith Kenniff的音樂裡有著一股明顯的自溺氣氛，那彷彿是圍繞在秋冬爽朗卻泛有一點微寒的節氣下，歷經連夜雨後嶄露的日光，帶著些許溫暖。你說他的音樂是什麼？簡約作曲、古典鋼琴、室內樂、臥房電子，還是迷濛緩行的後搖滾呢？來自波士頓的他，於享譽國際的Berklee College of Music完成學業後，便一頭栽進了將簡約古典作曲與現代電子音樂揉合的實驗創作裡；2004年於美國知名電子音樂廠牌Merck底下發表了「Unomia」這張作品後，名氣也自然跟著水漲船高。適逢英國新銳音樂廠牌Type的成立，便將Keith Kenniff簽下成為該品牌最早的一批當代作曲家。曾經試著請教Keith Kenniff，何以用Helios、Goldmund這麼多化名來發表自己的音樂作品？那其中是否代表著什麼樣的差異與意圖？Keith Kenniff以玩笑的口吻解釋：「或許你們會以為我的音樂是Classical，其實它更加地偏向Minimal；Helios主要的身份是電子音樂創作者，而Goldmund原先只是一個鋼琴Solo的Project，逐漸地被加入了吉他、聲響乃至人聲歌唱。然而在本名底下，Keith Kenniff形容自己是個不折不扣的Folk-Guitar Based Singer/Songwriter Music With Vocals。」無論這與你原先想像的是否一致，但至少可以很明確地將Helios、Goldmund的表達形式分開；Keith Kenniff的確也希望做出這樣的區隔。
