			2006年1月31日日本NTT DoCoMo*宣佈，自三月一日起新增一種計費方案，該方案提供無限的3G FOMA** i-mode封包，單一費率的「封包吃到飽」，每月含稅價為4095日圓。(譯註︰也就是不限上網下載數量或時間，一律每月新台幣1100多元吃到飽) 目前，吃到飽的費率只有含稅6930日圓(約新台幣1900元)的M型FOMA計費方案。當全新的計費方案實施後，所有從2005年11月1日開始的FOMA計費方案都會提供單一月費計價方式供用戶選擇。2005年11月1日之前的計費方案，如FOMA 39、FOMA 49方案、Limit Plus以及非i-mode的上網計費方案(FOMA數據方案及FOMA普及方案)可能不會有「封包吃到飽」的配套。 日本自2004年6月1日起開始有封包吃到飽，到2005年底止約有4百45萬FOMA用戶選用封包吃到飽。 * NTT DoCoMo的前身就是日本電信，類似前身為國營事業的中華電信。**FOMA︰Freedom of Multimedia Access，這只是NTT DoCoMo為他的3G服務取的名字，「多媒體存取任我行」，這是我給他取的。 譯自3G News
