Pandanus, we call it 'na-dau'. It looks almost the same with pineapple.
I am more familiar with pandanus than pineapple because pandanus are common in the
seashore around Taiwan. (It must spread all over the island long time ago, but mostly found in the seashore now.)

There is a famous story related with pandanus in Taiwan. We usually call this story 'Miss Na-dau'.

Once upon a time, Miss Nadau fell in love with a man from China. She merried him and had a baby.
The Chinese guy went back to China without any notice. He even brought the child away. She was so sad that
she hanged herself in the pandanus forest eventually.

The story does not end. The following plots are rediculous ghost-story and vengeance-story. Well, I'll skip it.

I just want to tell something between me and the pandanus. It's not scary, but not funny either.
It's my memory of the pandanus.
