2008年，The Verve終於重組了，新專輯「Four」裡，我最喜歡的歌曲是"Judas"，讓人想起「A Northern Soul」的"So It Goes"，這麼多年過去，我們已經從認為這世界上好像沒有什麼不可能的，那種自信或狂妄，轉變為坦然接受一切，儘管受挫或懊悔，仍可以自我解嘲去面對。


英國搖滾樂隊The Verve在1995年推出的第二張專輯「A Northern Soul」，是他們從shoegazing新迷幻與太空搖滾、往英搖流行關鍵的一步，收錄有"On Your Own"、"History"這些名曲。我覺得這也是The Verve作為一個搖滾樂隊，最好的作品之一，因為這仍是吉他手Nick McCabe與主唱Richard Ashcroft心意相合，對樂隊貢獻度平起平坐，等量齊觀的的階段。Nick McCabe曾說，錄製這張專輯的前三個星期是他生命中最快樂的時光，但是到了後來，他與Richard Ashcroft可能都嗑藥過量，在創作理念與溝通對話上，產生了嚴重的衝突。而兩年後大賣的「Urban Hymns」(1997)某個程度來說，是Richard Ashcroft個人主導的專輯，經典之作無庸置疑，但這與我們深愛的The Verve已越來越遠，也預告了之後長達十年的解散。

兩個創作靈魂的合作及衝突，常產生一個偉大的樂隊，例如The Beatles和The Smiths，當然，還有The Verve。
