Rasmus的音樂聆聽史

Rasmus Kellerman (Tiger Lou)前天在新專輯錄音日誌A Partial Print依照自己的年紀寫下了那時他所聆聽的音樂列表,知道這些音樂人私下音樂聆聽的軌跡總是會讓人能更瞭解他們作品風格呈現的淵源所在,雖然也許所聽的音樂和創作出的東西也有可能是兩回事就是了,但是基於種迷妹心態,知道這些名單後都會忍不住多加推敲這些作品對他們當下創作時的影響呀,所以下面Rasmus的文章摘錄也附了自己有些聒噪的註解。另外除了Rasmus自己音樂聆聽紀錄的列表,他在這篇文章也提及了新專輯的錄製進度,現在Rasmus著手於最後一首共九分多長度,和新專輯名稱同名的曲目A Partial Print的錄音工作,希望在不久之後能聽到新專輯發行的好消息了!喔對了,今天(瑞典時間4/24)是Rasmus的28歲生日,Grattis Rasmus!:)

I've come to realize that this album is the most personal and innovative piece of work I've ever extracted from my self. And if my musical upbringing and influences would be made into a perfume, much like the one courtesy of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, it would probably smell like all kinds of shit – but sound just like my new album will. A strange but humble and respectful blend of all the music I've been chewing up and spitting out for the past 15 years or so.
 
When I was 12 – 13 my gods were Depeche Mode, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Slowdive, The Cure, Front Line Assembly, Nine Inch Nails, Swervedriver, Ministry & the soundtrack for Judgement Night (a Rap Vs. Rock mile stone).
這裡是在說有好音樂taste兄長對唱作人是有很重要的啟蒙力量低~
 
Between 14 – 17 all things Hardcore & Emo made me tick: Refused, Snapcase, Battery, Split Lip, Sense Field, Sunny Day Real Estate, Ignite, Undertow, Earth Crisis, Copper, Texas Is The Reason, NOFX, Ten Foot Pole, Promise Ring are some of the bands du jour.

From 18 to 19 I fed on predominantly acoustic/folky sad-ass stuff like Gillian Welch, Whiskeytown, Ida, The Secret Stars, Red House Painters, Sophia, Mojave 3, Idaho, Low, Rex, Codeine etc.
當時樂團解散,Rasmus把自己關在公寓裡寫出了araki/ikara ep及之後的tiger lou ep三部曲
 
20 – 21 where better know as the DJ-Days; hosting a line-up to die for, including: semi-god DJ Shadow, but also DJ Vadim, DJ Krush, DJ Cam and DJ Spooky. Around here is also the time when I engaged in some serious deep sea diving of the electronic depths. Many thanks to Napster for providing me with the necessary tools to make my explores as fruitful as they were.
Rasmus私下也有發展djing的計畫,araki myspace就有放上電音風的短片配樂曲目試聽。
 
And as far as 22 to present goes, I've been on a steady diet of all of the above, plus a lot of Techno (favs include all the artists on the upcoming TgrLouRmx-disc) and film scores (to name a few: Solaris, The Assassination of Jesse James, The Fountain, The Piano).
其實他寫到這些電影配樂時我反而有些意外他竟然沒提Donnie Darko,araki及早期Tiger Lou的instrumental曲目很有Donnie Darko配樂的氣味呀。另外這裡提到的TgrLouRmx-disc是指會和這次新專輯同時發行的混音版本,Rasmus邀請他欣賞的幾位DJ同步製作混音他新專輯的每首曲目。
 
There's also been a few artists hovering about for the past 15 odd years, transcending both genres and periods – helping me walk the righteous path. They include Portishead, Afghan Whigs, TOOL, Radiohead & Blonde Redhead. What's up with that Head obsession?
這裡就是所謂的愛團專區了吧~portishead、afghan whigs和電台頭,Rasmus的音樂的確長久以來是有受到這些音樂人樂團的影響。
