Sam Kaner (山姆•肯納)是當代研究團體合作的巨擘，對團體決策有深入獨到的見解，並且發展出許多能夠實際上幫助團體達成決策的方法。他將自身的經驗轉化成淺顯易懂的文字與圖表，出版成《Facilitators’ Guide to Participatory Decision Making》一書，頓時蔚為風潮，高居亞馬遜(Amazon.com)同類書籍暢銷排行榜首位十餘年不墜。其中文版書名為《誰說我們不能一起做決定—參與式決策引導寶典》，本月即將由開放智慧出版上市。本次論壇將運用短短兩個多小時的時間，帶您一窺Sam Kaner三十餘年經驗的精華，帶您一起了解參與式決策的本質與挑戰，以及介紹實用的工具。

論壇內容包括
*決策方法對會議參與者的影響
*處理困難決策時會面對的實際團體動態
*實用的決策工具

關於引導者: 鐘琮貿

鐘琮貿(Shawn Chung)是一位經驗豐富的引導者。他與開放智慧的其他引導者們，在過去五年之中，就各種團體與情境，不斷嘗試發展新的引導風格與方法，且在實際應用上得到許多超出預期的成果。他深信引導不只是引導方法的總合，而且是一種精神，與處世的態度。在以會議/活動之引導為服務重心的同時，他也透過教練、調解等方式，從不同層面協助客戶處理組織內的難題。

Sam Kaner is one of the contemporary leading figures on group collaboration. He has very unique insight on group decision making and has developed it into practical methods. Sam translated his experience into organized and easy-to-digest content, and published them as the book –《Facilitators’ Guide to Participatory Decision Making》, which soon became one of the best sellers in amazon.com for more than 10 years. The Chinese version of this book -- 《誰說我們不能一起做決定—參與式決策引導寶典》, will be published in this month by Open Quest Facilitation Technology. This forum is going to bring you the major parts of Sam’s over 30 year experience, leading you to understand the essence and challenge of participatory decision making, and introducing practical tools.

Contents:
*The impact of decision method to meeting participants
*The realistic group dynamics when dealing with difficult decision making
*Practical decision making tool

About Facilitator- Shawn Chung
Shawn Chung is an experienced facilitator. He and other facilitators of Open Quest Facilitation Technology have been trying to develop new facilitation styles and methods to different groups and scenarios, and gained many beyond-expectation-results on utilizing it. Shawn believes facilitation is not only a set of facilitation methods, but a kind of spirit and a way of living. Besides facilitating meeting as his primary way of service, he also coaches his clients and does mediation, to help his clients deal with issues in their organization in different level.

十二月中,琮貿(Shawn)赴美國參加由Sam Kanner的公司所主辦的參與式決策工作坊.在我們的邀約下,他很爽快的答應在論壇中將與我們分享所學,並帶領大家實際感受作決策時團隊實際的動態,精采可期,千萬不要錯過!

As 2007 draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation to you for the support and participation to the forum in the past year. Wish you a .prosperous, healthy and successful year of 2008!!!

In the last forum of 2007, we will prepare special gifts for two participants in honor of “Best Learning Partner in 2007”. In the past year, we can always see them around in the forum activities. Their enthusiastic participation and aggressive learning spirits are in fact an invaluable reward for the work by the volunteer working team.

In order to extend the service experience and prepare the Annual Chinese Facilitators Conference in 2008, the volunteer working team of 2007 will continue to work for the forum in 2008. Besides, we would like to invite those of you who are interested in joining us the facilitators forum working team. We will work together for the big event and prepare the handover for the next coming year. If you have passion on running our facilitation learning space, please don’t hesitate to take action to join us!

Shawn now is in the US to join a “Participatory Decision Making” workshop conducted by Sam Kaner’s company. We have invited Shawn to share what he learns from the workshop in this coming forum. He will lead us to experience the realistic group dynamics to reach consensus on decision-making. This will be a good opportunity to learn the newest tools and model of group decision-making. Don’t miss!
