Conference Theme:
Financial Markets in the Greater China Region and Financial Engineering
Call for Papers:
This conference will serve as a platform for the government officers, academics, and practitioners from the Greater China Region to exchange ideas in both theoretical research and industrial practice. Selection of topics for this conference will be based on the theme of this conference: "Financial Markets in the Greater China Region and Financial Engineering", which allows researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and results in the academic research and recent development in microstructure, equity derivatives and equity structured products. Such issues are extremely important to the future development of highly efficient and multi-dimension equity markets in Asia.
Research topics are to include, but not limited to the following:

Basel II and Bank Risk Management
Corporate Governance
Private Equities, Hedge Funds, and Mutual Funds
Real-estate finance and Mortgage Bakes Securities (MBS)
QDII, QFII, Capital Market Development in the Greater China Region
Cross-investment and Real Options
Model Development and Simulation Technologies
Corporate Financial Management, Restructuring, and Turn-around Management
Risk Measurement and Measurement
Pricing and Trading of Equity Derivatives
Structured Notes and Exotic Options
Investment in the Emerging Market
The Impacts of Index Futures to the China Financial Market
Format of the conference include: briefing, presentation, computer simulation, case study, forum, and panel discussion. Briefing includes complete model and documents. Sufficient time will be allocated to support interaction and discussion.
Publication and Special Issues:
All the papers accepted at ACFE2008 will be published in the ISTP Indexed (EI Index is under review) book entitled: "Structured Financial Markets: Microstructure, Structural Problems, and Structured Products". Also, forty to fifty articles will be selected and published in the EI indexed "Lecture Notes of System Sciences".

Industry and practitioner: US$300
Academics and researchers: US$150
Conference hosts, facilitators, presenters, discussants and guests invited by organizers are free of registration fees.
